Social Profile:

The Bistro & Wine Bar is open to the public seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. Our menus draw inspiration from the cuisine found throughout bistros in France and are infused with local flavors of the Finger Lakes to deliver you in-season, sustainable, and locally sourced dishes. Reflective of Mirbeau’s spa atmosphere, our restaurant experience offers that same feeling of getting away to a private French estate. The dining room is classically elegant and the outdoor patio overlooking our Monet Gardens, which is heated during the colder months, is the perfect setting for a relaxed night out or a special occasion. Attire is casual and refined.

Excellent breakfast this morning. Our server Liam was professional, courteous and friendly. Coffee is tasty. Loved the yogurt, granola and berries. The view of the garden even when covered in snow is beautiful.

Ten stars for these decadent gourmet meals.
The burrata pasta dish with fresh greens tasted light in spite of being pasta.
The salmon was perfectly cooked with a thin crust of little rounds of potato which created a beautiful design and a fabulous crunch!
And the sauce had just the right amount of spice.

I dined for lunch after enjoying the morning at the spa with a friend. A lovely festive atmosphere with a view of the courtyard. I had the French dip and my friend the Turkey Salad Sandwich. Both were large portions with fries which is appreciated with a price tag of $24 and $26. Both were excellent and I had leftovers for another meal. I had wine with my lunch and coffee for my fellow diner with lots of cream. I did not see any festive cocktails on the menu that was disappointing for an upscale dining experience. The wait was very long which wasn’t an issue as we were chatting and enjoying the ambiance. But our lunch was over two hours on a very slow weekday afternoon. We did not purchase the spa package that added $40 towards meal yet the check out was a long drawn out process , staff not knowing where
to pay and eventually cashing out at the bar with all the confusion. Overall we enjoyed the experience but definitely could improve on the service.

Mirbeau is a wonderful location and the staff at the spa and the inn are wonderful. The restaurant is certainly lacking. Although the food and drink were delicious- especially the blood orange cocktail and steak frites. The staff at the restaurant does not embody the rest of the location. We arrived for our Sunday evening 6:30pm reservation at 6:28 and the hostess rudely told us she wasn’t searing 6:30 reservations yet. We saw our waitress one time. When the hostess came around to fill our waters, we asked if we could get another round of drinks. The same lady who was rude earlier snapped at us to tell our waitress. At this point it was enough. We told her we haven’t seen our waitress since we put our orders in 45 minutes ago. There were maybe 4 tables seated so it was not busy. She then reaffirmed tell your waitress. With such a magical location, the hostess and the restaurant ruined the ambiance. We’ll be back to the spa and inn – think we’ll pass on the restaurant next time.

Shocked, not in a good way….I’ve been coming here for over 20 years, have had large gatherings and private parties in addition to the regular dinning room and the food was fabulous! When we stay at the resort it’s convenient to dine here. First night wasn’t good but we needed to give it another try. Second night the food had a greasy taste and we both felt sick, even the brussel sprouts were soaked in grease. I see someone posted a picture of my entrée, unfortunately mine didn’t resemble that image. We didn’t even want to enjoy the enomatic wine server which is my favorite. I hope things improve because the entire resort is impeccable! We will avoid the restaurant for a while.

We had an unforgettable dining experience on their charming deck, warmed by overhead heaters on a crisp fall evening — was nothing short of spectacular.

We started with the grilled oysters, which were briny, tender, and bursting with flavor. For the entrées, we opted for the scallops and the Mirbeau burger. The scallops were seared to perfection, with a delicate golden crust and a tender, melt-in-your-mouth interior. They were accompanied by a light, flavorful sauce that complemented the dish without overpowering the natural sweetness of the scallops. The burger was juicy and packed with flavor.

To top it all off, Chef Natalie made a visit to our table, adding a personal touch that elevated the entire experience. We were beyond impressed by the meticulous attention to detail and the perfect execution of every element of our meal.

Dining on the heated deck made the ambiance even more delightful. We visited with another couple at a nearby table that visit for several days every October from Buffalo, NY and love it. This is a must-visit for anyone seeking top-notch dining. We can’t wait to return!

We’ve eaten here before and had great food. Today I am scheduled for a spa treatment and had a lunch reservation beforehand. We broke down on the side of the highway and I couldn’t get through to the spa. I called the restaurant to let them know I couldn’t make it, and mentioned that I couldn’t get through to the spa. Olga took down my information and walked to the spa (or maybe called them, either way, reached out to them for me) to let them know I couldn’t make it. It was so helpful & she provided us some ease on an otherwise stressful day.

Our visit to The Bistro and Wine Bar at Mirbeau was a blend of highs and lows, earning it a 3/5 rating.

While the ambiance was pleasant, the expensive menu set high expectations that the food didn’t fully meet. I ordered the salmon and this turned out disappointing, leading us to share a burger instead. At $100, the overall quality didn’t align with the price.

The experience was significant enough that we opted for breakfast elsewhere the next morning. While there’s potential, there’s room for improvement in the quality of the food. A 3/5 rating reflects a mix of positives and areas that could enhance the dining experience.

Comfortable bar, impressive wine list, slow and amateurish service.

Limited outdoor seating without radiant heaters.

Could be a 5-star establishment with proper management.

The service was impeccable! The food was delicious!! We sat out on the deck and tho we enjoyed the view and it was nicely heated from above, the sun blinded one of our guests for a while. But we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to going again. The servings were ample and after the main courses we each ordered different desserts to share. Each was very yummy. The grounds have beautifully maintained gardens and everything is immaculate. All in all, it was a great experience and we would highly recommend it.
