What a surprise!! We stopped in on a Saturday late afternoon. We chose this place due to the reviews. The location was about three miles off the interstate, but it is easy to find. No turns to get there. The menu who was very big. THERE WERE LOTS OF OPTIONS. My man is a steak man- so that’s what he ordered. I ordered the appetizer steak bites as meal. they offered to put them over mashed potatoes Instead of rice and I took them up on the offer. because it was an appetizer, I ordered a side salad too.
The side salad came as a full salad. It was huge, fresh, and delicious. the steak bites were tasty and included some kind of spicy teriyaki sauce sprinkled over them. the mashed potatoes were homemade.
My men’s steak was cooked perfectly and a generous portion. the service was fantastic and quick.
Our bill including tip was fifty dollars.
We will be back. I took pictures for the review. Check them out when you get a chance.

The service was great! The food was better, the bourbon sauce wings were absolutely amazing as well as the pork chops and fried ribs, definitely go check these folks out!

My husband and I stopped here to eat. The food was great and the young lady that took our order was very friendly and nice. I ordered the triple dipper, and my husband ordered the grilled oysters. I also ordered chicken Alfredo to go. The wait time was not long, and our food was fresh. Everything that we tried was good. We will definitely be back the next time that we stop in this city.

10/03/2024 Dinner. Steak night! We drove 500+ miles today, from Commerce, Georgia towards Texas and stopped in at Vicksburg for an overnight stay. We wandered into this place and was told that tonight was Steak night! Whoohoo! They were serving a 14 ounce ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and green beans, plus a piece of garlic bread. All for $25.
My wife and I ordered one each, and it was very enjoyable.
This restaurant opened this past December and the owner and staff were wonderful. Like any new place, they’re working out the kinks, and if we were staying longer than one night, we would go back to try out their menu.
Our dinner was better than expected tonight.
My first impressions:
Excellent: Uniquely satisfying.
V Good: Better than expected.
Avg: An everyday, good meal.
Fair: Below par. Dirty & or flies.

My husband and I stopped by The Bistro of Vicksburg and ordered the bistro oysters and steak. I told him that the oysters are out of a can, overly smothered with cheese, very small & crab meat added to make up the difference and no juice. The oysters wasn’t even attached to the little stem that be inside the shell. I was over it and asked for a to go plate & the waitress stated due to FDA I have to take the oysters out the shell. WHAT?! I have gotten oysters from other establishments before to go and never heard of this. I told my husband they are reusing those shells bcuz one of the oyster shells look like a sea shell. The steak had a sweet sauce on it that they could have left off. We paid without any fuss and will not be returning.

If you are looking for a good lunch meal with food to talk about when you are done eating, go by Vicksburg Bistro. Never really dined at a place that did not have a traffic when I arrived but I can tell you this place was a gem.

My daughter and I ride to Vicksburg often just to get away from home. We stopped in at the Bistro, and it certainly did not disappoint. The food, drinks and customer service were all fantastic. We’re already checking our schedules to see when we can go again.
