Went to the restaurant part and not the coffee shop area.

It is highly NOT recommended. The food did not have flavor to it and the fries are just a “scam” with so called shawrma spices. Having made shawrma spice mix myself and bought it already made before, there is nothing of a shawrma in these thick untasty fries.

The avocado toast, despite having nice healthy ingredients, was flavorless.

On the plus side, the ambiance is very nice – maybe to grab a drink or two.

Ordered the LoHi Omelette breakfast with black beans, green salsa, and fries plantains. Omelette arrived w beans on the side and minimal salsa. After a few bites I realized the Omelette was lukewarm and the cheese in the middle was not melted. My waitress ordered me another Omelette. Remarkable difference in the second. Plate was put together and had a generous amount of green salsa. Omelette was hot and cheese was melted. Good recovery and great work by the waitress to rectify the issue. $23.99 for two egg omelette and two small pieces of a plantain is not great value, but it is the airport so not surprising. Photo is of the first plate.

Great airport stop. They’ve got an awesome variety of pastries, and I really appreciated the unique ingredient combinations definitely more interesting than the standard airport fare. Perfect spot to grab something quick but still feel like you’re getting quality.

My Bloody Mary was SO GOOD. I was craving a Bloody Mary when I got to the airport and had no idea where’d I’d be able to get a good one. They blew me away. High quality ingredients and very fresh. Dan took care of me and was an amazing server. Also it was nice, quiet, and peaceful unlike the majority of the airport.

The food was surprisingly good, well prepared made quickly lots of good healthy options. My waitress was Alexa and she was exceptional. You come across a lot of unhappy people having bad days when you travel and she provided service that was as good as I have received at any five star restaurant.

Yikes. I walked out without buying anything on the restaurant side. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I checked, and others have had the same experience as me, so here’s hoping management sees this pattern and either relieves the stress of their employees by staffing more, or does some training on managing stress and treating folks with basic courtesy. Courtesy regardless of how much money they judge customers to be able to spend!

I ordered a pastry from the counter from a perfectly nice person. He explained that if I wanted to sit down with a real mug, I should go to the restaurant side. Cool. It looked lovely, I was led to a little nook with a cushioned seat, I got ready to relax with a cappuccino and pastry. The waiter brought me water. I admit, I made the mistake of trying to order right then. He had other things to do, no biggie. But the brushoff I got was dismissive, like he had caught me trying to cut in line and didn’t care if I left. And when he came back to take my order and they were out of some things, there was no attempt to offer other options or show any interest at all in my staying. So I didn’t.

For the future, here are some ways to say you can’t take someone’s order because “there are a lot of other people in front of you” without making your customers feel unwanted:
– “I’ve got to take care of some folks over there, but I’ll come back and get the rest of your order as soon as I can!”
– “it’s a busy day and we’re a little short staffed, but I’ll start that cappuccino and come back for the rest!”
Etc.

It feels clear that the restaurant area does not give a crap if you stay or go. At least, not if you’re traveling in a t-shirt and jeans. Don’t know how it would have been if I’d arrived in my fancy dress.

Almost forgot! Got the bad taste out of my mouth by walking over to the less-upscale Peet’s Coffee down the way. The folks there were relaxed and courteous, with pretty good beverage options. I’ll take that any day.

The food is pretty good (which is a surprise being that it’s at the airport (I’m a FA, so I’ve been around plenty of airports :))). The staff are friendly. I enjoyed my meal before my next flight. Hopefully they stay consistent with food and service.

I stumbled upon The Bindery on my layover in Denver, after a long flight Dan’s energy was unreal, he instantly put me in a good mood and the whole bar seemed to be loving his vibe! Dan made me a cherry limeade and it was perfectly balanced! Best spot to go to in Denver Airport!
