What a gem. The American owner lived in Asia for 20 years. He brings wonderful asian-style comfort food to rural Nevada. Great touches like home made wasabi sauce for the Japanese rice bowl. Also offers burgers, but the Korean and Japanese rice bowls excellent.

I walked in and instantly the owner thought I looked fimilar which was funny, but I swear this was my first time! This place serves excellent food with great service. The store stocks a little bit of everything which is great, and all the items for sale are all high quality, essential items for a store located in the mountains of Nevada. The hospitality there is 5/5 as well. I’ll always stop here during my journey through Nevada. Thank you so much for the delicious Cheeseburger, it hit the spot.

Incredible spot! I was staying in Hawthorne for work and my options were “limited”. Found this place on Google Maps and made the short commute. Worth it.
The bison burger was next level- and then it came with a tasty side salad?!? Freshest and tastiest food you’ll find along Hwy 95.
Also, by supporting this place, you will support important local conservation efforts. The owner (?) and staff are well informed about upstream water use within the Walker River and downstream impacts to their beautiful Walker Lake. They are heavily involved in local and regional conservation efforts and water management. Kudos to them.
So, grab some tasty food and learn about Walker Lake conservation efforts. Don’t miss their cool maps inside!

From the outside you wouldn’t expect much a little brick building with houses on the hill behind it. Barren mountains with a lake in the distance adds to the atmosphere of this unique area. We opened the door and were extremely shocked to see staff all nicely dressed at the counter welcoming us in.
The owner told us he lived in Korea for 20 years and wanted to do something different. Turning a little convenience store into a DELICIOUS restaurant spot. Everyone was pleasant to talk with, they walked us through some of the options on the menu and said they’d buy back anything we didn’t like.
We had their Seoul burger and Korean Bowl with Bulgogi and both were delicious. I regret not taking pictures of their food for this review. I’m a guy who likes his burgers and this one hit the Savory and hint of sweet perfectly. I can honestly say The Bighorn Crossing has won the best burger award in my heart.
I wish they were closer to my home town. If I was forced to ding them for something, the items to buy didn’t offer a lot of options. Maybe some more car stuff for the customers that find themselves in an emergency? Regardless. 6/5 if the reviews would let me.

The Seoul burger was so delicious and I regret living in texas just due to the fact that this is now my favorite burger and I won’t be able to get it again! The atmosphere is amazing and the owner Tony is so sweet and kind and helped with me being indecisive ♡ would recommend stopping by for ANYONE who passes

Great coffee (amazing Matcha Latte!!!) and had the spicy Jalapeño burger and the tallow fries!!! Couldn’t believe I could find CLEAN food in this part of the state. The owner was so friendly and the staff helped me find just the right stuff for a great experience!!! 5 star service!!!

We were driving through Nevada, just looking for something — anything — that wasn’t Mexican food… and I’m so glad we found this place. The food was delicious, but what really made it special was the energy, the warmth, and the heart behind it all.
The owner is an incredible person with a beautiful vision. Coming here felt like more than just a meal — it felt like quietly supporting something that matters. Truly grateful we stumbled upon it.

I only gave 4 out of 5 because I’m a bit of a cheapskate and have a hard time spending what I did on my burger… but that said, the owner and all the employees were very nice and accommodating. And not only was the burger VERY good, it was accompanied by such a nice variety of very cool and different and GOOD lettuce varieties(I’m a bit of a rabbit and love good lettuce:/ I just normally think I can’t afford special greens like that!).
Very nice little restaurant with great inside and outside seating with spectacular views and even cute art/story pieces around to help you connect to the area. If I have a couple extra dollars I can’t wait to try many more things from their menu!
