Had an amazing birthday brunch at The Benedict on Cary! The service was fantastic, you can tell the team really works together to make sure every guest is taken care of. I ordered the seasonal apple cider mimosa and it was so flavorful. My wife had the Monte Cristo and loved it, and I went with the Southern Benedict. The chicken was perfectly juicy and the presentation was beautiful. The vibe of the place is adorable. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband, son & I were looking for a spot that we hadn’t been to before and were so happy we chose this one!
The moment we walked in, we knew we were in the perfect spot. The decor was happy and welcoming and done so well (I’m jealous I don’t have this decorating skill)
We were instantly met with smiles and greetings and we were immediately seated in a cozy spot near the kitchen where we happily watched the crew through the window. Most of the tables were full by the time we left (12:30) but it wasn’t too loud, which we welcomed because one of us has noise sensory issues. The server, Jay, was amazing and he made a fantastic Lavender Lemonade, but a virgin one. He said he’s not made a virgin one before and let me tell you… it ROCKED! I greatly appreciate his efforts because we fought over who got to drink it. The drink menu was fun to read through and super original.
The food options were plenty and the fact that they had turkey bacon and sausage options really made my day. They cut their own bacon in house too! THIS place is locally owned which is bonus for us.
We can’t wait to come back!

This is a nice bright vibrant breakfast/lunch nook on the corner of East Cary and 14th in the Shockoe Bottom neighborhood. The colors of the restaurant and the visually pleasing artwork make you feel like you are venturing into a fresh and wonderful experience.

The Benedict has a delightfully fun and unique menu with Southern inspired dishes and a quirky drink menu. The staff have great personalities and are very pleasant. There is plenty of dining space with sections for various group size and also a bar and outdoor dining on their side patio.

Our waitress Erin was delightful. She let us know that they slice their own bacon and it is cut thick. I tried the salmon cakes with a side of cheese eggs and fried potatoes. I was pleased; however next time I visit I’ll skip on the potatoes.and try another side item. My partner built her own breakfast which was also plated wonderfully and was very tasty (her words).

I would definitely recommend this restaurant as it is the type of vibe that says good morning or let’s do brunch.

Took my best friend here for a brunch. We’re from out of town, and got held up, so I was worried about making a 12:45 reservation (1 PM slot) at the Rage RVA Splatter Room. We arrived right at 11. They had us seated right away. My best friend even ran to the bathroom, but they still took our drink order, food order, served us, and checked us out, all at 12:35 or so – just in time to head there. We made it in perfect timing. We didn’t even tell our server we were on a time crunch. The food was perfect! She got the OG Benedict, and I got the Tidewater Benedict. Both were amazing! The drinks were so yummy as well! Thank you so much!!

(I only marked $20-$30 per person, because that’s about what we spent, but we did get 2 specialty mimosas, and you have to consider tax. We were also on a time crunch, so I did use the parking garage to park.. I didn’t want to ride around looking and waste time. I did not include that in my cost to eat here.)

Brunch with my friend for catch…….new spot we wanted to try. The Espresso Martini is their own version, do with that what you wish. The food, not impressed the bacon so salty we couldn’t eat it. I gave my eggs away, potatoes were delicious. Pancake was thin and taste gluten free slightly, no flavor. Crab cake- look like a brown muffin but it was good flavorful. Would come back for that alone.

Service: there was a wait so we took the bar. The food took a while to come out

Ambiance: very cute for content creators, decor for the season.

My man and I had the BEST time here! So good, we went two days in a row! Before I get into the review, I really want to shout out our server, AVERY !! Avery was an absolute delight on our first visit. So much so, that we came back the next day and asked for Avery by name before we got there! We had left another brunch spot and we were having a horrible experience. So we decided to go back to Benedict. The food was always amazing, they have so many choices for all diet and religious preferences!! They also had many cocktails and were able to suggest a plethora of mocktail options. If we didn’t see it on the menu, Avery made it happen !! We didn’t catch the bartender’s name, but we have dubbed her “The Chemist” because of how she effortlessly put drinks together and accommodated our requests. Avery was very attentive, calm and has an amazing spirit. Avery had so many great suggestions off the menu and we tried at least 5-6 different suggestions. All of which were flavorful and delicious! Avery, please know that every time we come here, we are going to request you EVERY TIME LOL. Thank you for making this special weekend even more special you are an amazing person and we loved you and The Chemist! Pictures are from both visits this weekend.

So I went to this establishment based off a Tik-Tok video. Upon washing in there is an open
Concept. We sat at out table to menus on the table. The menus were dirty, if you’re going to reuse these types of menus at least get them laminated down you can easily clean them. Our waitress didn’t have much of a personality. She took out orders. We didn’t wait long for our food. After receiving our food, my mom discovered her eggs were hard after I was very specific in advising to scramble them soft with pepper. I ordered the shrimp lobster and grits bowl. I would give it a 8 . The reason for the 8 was the lobster was not good . Slightly overcooked and really no flavor.. My mom and brother ordered the Big Ben which Consisted of French toast top with fruit , 2eggs. and you have choice of bacon or sage. Besides the issue with the eggs, my mom and brother enjoyed their meal. The waitress was not attentive to our needs. I told her prior to ordering, I needed a to place an order to go.She never came back to take my order. We saw her twice the hour and half we dined,. Also we asked another server about getting a bowl of grits. She asked us to wait while she checked on that but never returned. The overall experience including the meal was a 7. I was disappointed because the video depicted a whole vibe and good food.

Outstanding way to start a day. Charming decor. Chill, relaxing vibe. Super hospitable waitstaff. Eduardo was a joy. And the food…

I ordered the “Bayou Benedict”, one of the signature dishes. Two biscuits topped with a fried catfish filet, two poached eggs, Creole sauce, and a chopped parsley garnish.

The Bayou Benedict is one of the three best breakfast dishes I have ever had in nine years of living Richmond. The biscuits were the right balance of doughy and flaky. The catfish was perfectly breaded and salted. The poached eggs were spot-on. And the Creole sauce took me back to memories of my favorite meals in New Orleans.

As perfect as each of the individual parts were, the assembled whole was a sublime masterpiece.

I am so excited to have a restaurant like The Benedict just around the corner from my office so I can sneak in a nice 35 minute brunch before work.

If you find yourself downtown in the Shockoe area, you would do well to “treat yourself”.

It’s worth it.

More importantly, so are you.

We are always looking for a new spot for breakfast & we’re excited to see The Benedict open up! I always have to try the shrimp & grits when I check out a new place. The addition of lobster & the Cajun cream sauce really made this dish shine. Absolutely delicious. We also ordered the biscuits & gravy. I am particular about gravy & this is some of the most meaty & flavorful I’ve had. Paired with a fluffy biscuit & perfectly cooked eggs…it was difficult to leave one bite left on the plate. We also tried the cornbread waffle & a size of corned beef hash. The hash was standard, but they grilled it up a bit and that small detail elevated the ordinary. The waffle had a wonderful texture that we enjoyed very much. The house made Bloody Mary mix has a nice tang, with a slight peppery kick. I definitely recommend visiting The Benedict on Cary. The entire staff were pleasant and our server, Erin, was attentive & kind.

Just visited the new Benedict on Cary, brought to you by the owners of MaryLous and Black Olive and I have to tell you about the two stars of the brunch show for me.
The whole vibe is bright and welcoming, but listen…the menu is stacked with lots of delicious options but in the spirit of not over doing it lol I settled on a classic.

Star number one: BYO breakfast sandwich with the most incredible thick-cut bacon. So good. The biscuit on this sandwich was so buttery and fluffy, it practically melted in my mouth. The Monte Cristo was different but tasty. We had fried potatoes as a side but they were more like scalloped potatoes and not my favorite.

And star number two? The vanilla espresso martini. It is the perfect brunch cocktail. If you get two things, get those.

Great service and definitely worth adding to your brunch list!
Go check them out y’all!
