My hubby and I decided to check this bar out after reading about it in the newspaper. We went on a sunny, Summer Wednesday and they were busy! It’s a cute, little, indoor spot with a Southern feel inside, located right off commercial Ave. The service was amazing, they were always on top of it.
There was a wide variety of cocktails to choose from. I tried several, and all were made to perfection– tasty and strong, made from quality spirits, fresh ingredients, that pop with flavor, paired with unique garnishes and glassware, transporting you to New Orleans without the travel.
The shrimp and grits was the best I’ve had since I lived in the South. Shrimp not overcooked, perfect flavor balance and portion size. Surprisingly good in general but especially for our cute little Anacortes town.
Only downside I could see for some, is that this bar and restaurant is for ages 21 and up only. That also means it can be a little on the loud side. Not a problem to me because they played great, fitting music and maintained a very nice atmosphere. As convenient as family restaurants are, it’s a treat having a place just for “grownups”. ♡ Can’t wait to return and try more things!

Great little place! Real Nola flavor, music & decor. Generous portions and fresh ingredients. Our table of 4 tried shrimp & grits (perfect cheesy, creamy, so fresh), red beans & rice (smoky andouille, all day flavor), jambalaya (nice mix of ingredients & spice level), and a chicken po’ boy (great crispy chicken & spicy remoullade). Started with great light crispy hush puppies, had tasty Sazeracs, and finished with beignets.
Really recommend!

We stopped by Belle for a late lunch and really enjoyed the shrimp and grits and the muffuletta sandwich. The flavors were rich and satisfying.

This cozy, quaint, spot in beautiful Anacortes, checked all the boxes for us. We stopped in on a Friday evening for dinner. We were immediately greeted and sat down. The signature cocktail list was wonderful. I started with a Browne Butter Old Fashioned and the misses had the Gentleman Caller. A drink with Hendrix Cabaret Gin, luxardo, apple and brown sugar. Delicious, well made drinks, promptly served. The atmosphere was was very charming. Not a 5 star restaurant, but rather a cozy, comfortable spot. The star of the show however was the menu. This is what we came for. A limited, but amazing selection of southern Louisiana classics. We started with the deep fried green tomatoes, and hushpuppies. They did not disappoint! The tomatoes were breaded and fried to perfection and the hushpuppies were divine. For the entrée, we chose the shrimp po’ boy and the shrimp and grits. The po’ boy was delicious, but the shrimp and grits stole the show! Perfectly cooked grits smothered in the best sauce I’ve ever tasted. Topped with properly cooked, large, shrimp and sausage. Accompanied by your choice of a biscuit or cornbread, I chose the biscuit. When I tell you this dish lived up to every expectation, I sincerely mean it. The service and ambiance was great, and we will absolutely be back to try the rest of the dishes on that menu!
Thank you to the staff for an amazing dinning experience, great food, drink and service.

My father-in-law has been a regular here since it’s opened. We live out of state, so when we visited, this is where he wanted to take us… and good lord all mighty… it’s everything he said and more. I’m naturally a steak gal, beef is what my palette prefers… until my lips wrapped around that Cajun pasta! I could taste every ingredient, every vegtable, fresh and cooked with love and a little attitude like a true Nola dish. Bravo and congratulations to the owner… I tried 3 different dish and each one stunned and surprised me with every bite. Holy moly… definitely an anacortes MUST! I adore the dim lighting and the exposed kitchen, getting to hear and smell and see everything going on behind scenes.
*I’m writing this review 1 month after my visit. Because now I’m back in my home state, laying in bed, CRAVING that mouth watering Cajun pasta… counting down the day until our visit for Christmas! YUMM!!!!! We’ll be back!

Quick shout out to the staff and owner!!! It’s been several weeks since my vacation to Whidbey Island, where I visited and ate at The Belle, and I’m craving that jambalaya over a month later. I live in the south… but find a restaurant in the pacific northwest to be the main worth of the visit. I’ll be back EVERY. SINGLE. VISIT.

Had a phenomenal dinner tonight, the red beans and rice were incredible! The hushpuppies were the best I’ve ever had, and the lemonade pie was delish. Cocktails were so good. Really appreciate the 21+ aspect of this restaurant, and I can’t wait to return!

They have only been open for a short time but we found this place to have wonderful food and service. Boudin balls looked like they may have be overdone but after speaking to the chef, she explained that they use Cajun seasoning in the breading which gives the appearance of “over” darkness after cooking however, they did not have an “overdone” flavor and were wonderfully spicy and tender on the inside but crispy on the outside. We had the jambalaya and the shrimp and grits. Both were exceptionally wonderful but we were partial to the shrimp and grits. Will definitely be back. (Sorry, did not have anything off the extensive drink menu to review but the descriptions sounded interesting and good.)
