The Bees Knees Bistro, a family owned, women owned small business was established in December of 2023 after completing a full renovation of the space in the heart of downtown Wallingford, CT. We have created a cozy, warm and welcoming atmosphere for our community and visitors from all over to enjoy. Our menu aims to serve all by offering all house-made recipes using the finest quality ingredients sourcing locally whenever possible! The Bees Knees offers a variety of vegetarian, vegan & gluten free menu items paying close attention to allergy and dietary restrictions. Breakfast is served Mon – Fri from 7am-10:45, Saturday 8am-11:45am. Lunch is served Mon – Fri from 10:45–2:30pm, Saturday 11:45-2:30pm. SUNDAY BREAKFAST ONLY ALL DAY 🙂

We went on a Monday morning and it was very quiet and serene inside. Lovely decor and fun bee themes throughout the restaurant and menu. My husband got the bumble and I got the Catch a Redeye with the pancake option. The bacon was very good quality, thick cut and the pancakes were light and fluffy. My husband’s sandwich was stacked on a fresh roll and the eggs in both dishes had bright orange yolks, a sign of a super healthy chicken will definitely be going back!!

My husband & I stopped by here on our way to NYC, I came across this & thought the pictures looked great to try. So we stopped in on a gorgeous Sunday (which they do breakfast all day on Sundays) the food was amazing you could tell that everything was fresh! We loved it so much that we ended up sharing our dishes with each other. Would love to stop by again, the staff was also such a pleasure to be around!

Let me start off by saying the staff here was unbelievably friendly. My mother and I came for brunch and she has a disability that requires a walker, the wait staff were very accommodating to her and we appreciated that so much. They made sure to find a spot for us that was easy for her to access. Unfortunately our food wasn’t very good 🙁 was also disappointed that they didn’t add garnishes that were advertised on the menu, like edible flowers. Half the reason we went was because of these cute additions that are frequently seen on their instagram. It was very busy, I assume they ran out. But when you expect something to be in your plate, it should come with it. My meal also had something on it that wasn’t listed on the menu, luckily I don’t have any allergies but I was confused about that. Very cute place, but seems like based on other reviews the food is hit or miss.

I was absolutely blown away at the quality and deliciousness of the food at Bees Knees given how small it is! My friend and I arrived at a busy time but were still seated quickly. Although they were busy, our waitress was very attentive to us. We both ordered lattes and a light lunch. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and the prices couldn’t be argued with. It was a little loud, but that was to be expected given the amount of customers there in such a small area. I highly recommend The Bees Knees Bistro for a great drink and delectable food any time of day!

My friend and I visited Bees Knees bistro and were so excited to try a new place for brunch. The place so was soooo busy, but they did a really great job at providing great service the entire time. I ordered the iced match and GF Blueberry pancakes and my gosh they were the most delicious GF pancakes I’ve ever had. They were so big, so I had some to take home and even warmed up they were delicious. My friend ordered a breakfast sandwich and a specialty toast with fruit, she was equally pleased with her food. I’ll definitely be going back here and if you’re looking for a new place with yummy food and great service, give Bees Knees a try!

Had breakfast with the girls & it was wonderful.
Service was great, prices were very fair and the food and drinks were wonderful. I got the vanilla matcha with strawberry cold foam. I don’t usually like matcha, but this was too pretty to pass up.. and it tasted spectacular. I got the sweet & spicy breakfast sandwich special – the bacon was so crispy and the chili oil was not too spicy. We will be back!

A perfect spot to enjoy breakfast with a cozy atmosphere! The seating is inviting, especially with the beautiful seasonal decor that adds a warm touch to the experience. The food is fairly priced, with fresh ingredients that make a noticeable difference. The bun was delicious, with a great balance of flavors. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. If you’re looking for a pleasant place to start your day, I’d definitely recommend stopping by here!

Great food and great service! My order is consistently correct and consistently cooked to perfection. Chicken sandwich was tasty. Sides were great. And the egg sandwich was delicious, perfectly cooked egg just a touch soft as requested, perfect soft roll and hash brown on top. Always fresh, always tasty. They care about their product and it shows, they care for their customers and it shows. They treat you nicely, not like a burden. Farm fresh ingredients in a positive environment, serving wholesome foods that satisfy. Check their pastries and drink options too, good coffee and teas. And ask about their daily soup
