5/25 Update:
Went back and had a good time. This place is good for any size group. This place is really great for large groups of friends. There is plenty of space for everyone to hang out. They had free live comedy that I wish was advertised better because there wasn’t many people there. I enjoyed it though.

I’m so glad to have a place like this in Madison! Huge beer selection. Great pizza. (It was a lot bigger than I thought!) Prices for food and beer were prices well. (Normal for around here) Service was friendly and quick. I enjoyed the atmosphere. So cool to see what they did with the old library.

Can’t wait to come again!

Stopped by Beer Hog Madison for their comedy night and had a great experience all around. The staff was super attentive without being overbearing, the beer was ice cold, and the pricing was right where it should be.

The comedy show itself was fantastic. I think it was Silver lining running the show, and they absolutely delivered. Solid lineup, great energy, and lots of laughs.

If you’re looking for a laidback spot with an amazing beer selection, fair prices, and genuinely fun events, Beer Hog Madison is doing it right

Beerhog in Madison is a spacious, bright spot (formerly a library) with high ceilings and plenty of room to play. Most games are free or $1 — foosball, darts, chess, Jenga, arcade, cornhole, and excellent pool tables. Over 60 beers on tap, cheap flights, and tasty, affordable pizza and wings. Order at the counter, get a table number, and play while you wait — our food was ready before we finished our first game. We visited Thursday 5–8 pm, with karaoke starting at 7. Fun, casual, and worth coming back!

It could be a lot better. They have a lot of activities like pool, pinball and darts. The food isn’t the best, and the service was pretty slow. There is a wide selection of draft beers. The flights are worth it. They are part of the AA dining plan, which is why I went. It may be worth another try. Maybe I’ll hit the pinball machines.

My wife and I came on Black Friday. Very nice place. Great beer selection, plenty of pool tables, darts and other games. We were leaving when the live music was starting. Great venue. The pretzel was very good and pizza was okay. Nothing wrong with how it was prepared. It’s just a personal preference. Bartenders were friendly and the service was great. We had a great time. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Great new venue that could easily be the best night hot spot in Madison!

Trivia on Wednesday nights. Umpteen beers on tap. See pics for bar food menu. Lots of things to do! 8 pool tables. Arcade room. Back patio area. Games. Large TVs. Great staff and friendly.

Just needs some great bands to play on Friday and Saturday nights, and this could easily surpass Furniture Factory downtown. Wow!

What a great little (not really little though) spot to go have a beer with loved ones or friends. Well laid out and spacious. And beer; they had 64 different brews on tap and a great color coded to identify the types of beer.

Really excited this has opened in Madison! Loved the take on being the old library with the bar top covered in book covers.

Lots of beers on tap with several regional but also some I haven’t seen on tap elsewhere in the area. Color coded menu made it easy to find a beer that fit the style you wanted (e.g. IPAs bright green colored signage Pilseners blue colored signage). Flights were available with boards to pick up as you walk up to the bar from the front entrance.

HUGE space with lots of different seating options. We chose a table next to the arcade so the kids could play and we could watch. Arcade is in a room with doors so made it easy to keep track. Purchased a card from an easy to use vending style machine. Other seating areas included couches, low tops, and outdoor areas. Also multiple pool tables available in the back and a couple cornhole games set up to the side.

Food was mostly apps and pizzas. We had a sampling of them all, and they came out from the kitchen quickly. Service brought to the table based off a number which we received when ordering at the bar.

All in all super excited we have a family friendly option to have a brew, watch the game, and the kids are entertained.
