Here is why I give 5 stars; Service, Cute Decor in the dining room, atmosphere & attentive staff. This was in my first 5mins walking in first time ever. Then came the menu or rather, menus. Gosh, what kind of chef/cook is doing all this? I took pics.
I know price was mentioned. Honestly, for the quality and choices (I travel alot), this is on target. Compare to my fave McD’s egg McMuffin meal at 9.50 to 12.50 depending on location. Ha! No comparison. I have to take half my potatoes home and barely finished my Eggs Benedict (21.95) with way too much Black Forest ham. (Crazy to complain about ). I did not have their coffee (5.95) cause I had plenty earlier.
Yes, the organic juices & smoothies seemed pricy. I got Rick’s Inflammatioin Reduction (16oz $12.75). Super sour, just the way I love my drinks.
On the other hand, dinner items are the least expensive and you get 2 sides included. If you are trying to lose weight this menu(s) may be a problem. 🙂
Parking is not just in tge back or street parking but next door. Call & ask.
What a find!

Overall, had a good experience My only downside was on my smoothie, the Waikiki.
Was kind of gritty and thought it tasted different than what I imagined. Not saying it was terrible, I finished it
My wife had the Peach Protein and thought it was on point, I liked it better also.
Not the end of the world. Will be back to try another flavor
Thought it was just a little more expensive than it should be, but most things seem to be anymore .

I used to eat here all the time when I lived here, good food for a decent price. I ordered the 16oz tomato soup w/ bread of choice. I picked a croissant . I was charged $3.00 and it was served to me burnt black. I wanted to order the side tuna salad. I was told they didn’t have any side salads, till I showed her on the menu. I ordered Muenster cheese, so I could put in on my soup. THEY CHARGED ME $4.00 FOR ONE SLICE, that was dried up. Best thing about the soup, NOT! There was a piece of paper in my soup. I took a picture. I will say the Brussels were good. But I paid too much for snippy service and bad food. Not like it used to be if this is what they are like now. Unhappy!

Drove from the San Fernando Valley (1 hour) to meet my friend for breakfast at The Bee Hive.
Excellent food and large servings. I brought my leftover French Toast home for breakfast the next day, and my friend brought home 1/2 of her Eggs Benedict for her husband.
Would like an expresso bar so I would not have to bring my mocha from SB and I am looking forward to coming back for dinner, once Bee Hive obtains a wine and beer license or allows customers to bring their own and pay for corkage.

Was really looking forward to trying this spot as we are new to Whittier (1 year) and the online photos and reviews looked promising. Came in on a Monday, ordered the Italian and a double pastrami sandwiches and an order of onion rings to go. Total with tip came out to $60 and some change. Husband enjoyed the Italian but pastrami was extremely salty- to the point of being inedible. So bummed about it! So we shared the Italian (it was good), enjoyed the pickles and onion rings. I called beehive to advise them of the unfortunate over salting of the pastrami and the associate responded with “oh ok” followed with dead silence. I don’t believe we will be back to try anything else. Will likely stick to uptown provisions.

We had the French toast, super spuds, side of scrabble eggs, and a bagel with cream cheese. The food was great and fresh. I loved the super spuds, like loved loved them. French toast was fantastic as well as the scrabble eggs. I really do like when a restaurant water they server taste good and their’s did. With tax and everything came to less than $40.
