First time visiting. Food was ok, kind of bland. Not nasty but not soulful. My servers were nice other young lady wasn’t so nice to customer before me.

I’ve only visited this restaurant twice. Almost two decades apart for each visit. The first time I was vegetarian. The 2nd I was vegan. My options were few. My family enjoyed the food. The vegetables were just ok.

Stopped by with my brother while out of town. We got the oxtail dinner with collard greens, rutabaga, and a side of banana pudding. Exemplary, friendly service, cute joint, and AMAZING food. We both agreed the textures and balance of flavors were perfect. We would both go again and order everything from the menu. BEST cornbread we’ve ever had– I think my brother is going to be dreaming of it for years to come.

This is a cafeteria type setup where you grab your tray and the plate is served as you move down the line. I had the veggie plate, because I was informed that fish is only served on Fridays; the veggies were welled seasoned and prepared very well. I also received a drink, which was included with the meal. There’s parking available behind the restaurant, and customers parked on the street as well. I am not a meat eater, but everyone who did have the turkey wings, pork chops, Ox tails, and spaghetti pie enjoyed them.

A night out with friends that was amazing. I’m usually delighted every time I go visit the south, I like the people, the values, the relaxing atmosphere and this experience was just that! The food is as you would expect, lots of fried dishes but all delicious. The catfish was amazing, cooked just right. The service impeccable!

Food is always good. Staff is generally nice, patient and helpful. Most def glad to have them in the neighborhood. Im a single dude that doesnt cook much, so I am able to come here and consistently get fed well. However, I dont eat bone in meat so it would be nice if they had boneless options more often besides fish. They have a slammin baked spaghetti i wish they would serve daily or at least more often. I love meatloaf and rarely see that as an option either. Im leaving this review after I just had to leave due to them only having fish for boneless options. I hated to take my money elsewhere but big daddys dang near next door has meatloaf everyday so i had to come here.

I don’t mind paying more money for good food, but the quality has to match. I’ve been told to try “The Beautiful Restaurant “ and today I finally did, only to be disappointed. The fried chicken was horrible, old, almost like it had been fried multiple times. I also ordered the baked chicken. They too seemed like it was fried and then put in some gravy. They should be shame to serve this.

A hidden gem on Cascade, just west of the West End, the Beautiful Restaurant serves up cafeteria style some of the best homemade food around. Yesterday for lunch, I had the pork chop dinner, which came with 2 chops and 2 sides. My husband had the baked salmon dinner, which also came with 2 sides. Both had generous portions and were absolutely delicious – he had my leftovers for dinner. Great food, great value, and operated by wonderful people! And don’t forget the banana pudding for dessert – it’s the best!

I haven’t been to this restaurant for over 10 years and was excited to come today because it used to be one of my favorite places to eat after church in the past. The food was not terrible, but I expected more. Although the staff, that was serving the food, was nice, I didn’t particularly like how I was serviced when I dined in. The waitress asked ONCE if everything was ok with me and the person who I was sitting with. She did not check in with us at all during our meal after that. She was walking back and forth sweeping and cleaning tables, as well as filling up the pitchers and placing them at the employee station. I understand how sometimes things can get busy, but we were the only people sitting at the table along with just another table of people. We had been there for over 30 minutes and both of our glasses were empty. Not once did she ask to refill our glasses. She just kept walking by and cleaning. After waiting for the waitress to check in with us after some time, I grew tired and just asked for a refill on my drink myself. She provided the refill, only because I asked. I was taken back because this was an older lady and I dont understand why she felt like she shouldn’t check in with us. The only thing that she did was place condiments on the table with napkins in the beginning and refilled my glass after I asked her. She did not service us really. Nevertheless, I’m not one for drama or for disrespecting my elders. I wholeheartedly came in with the spirit to support a Black owned business. I still provided a tip, but I felt as if I was given poor service. I did not enjoy my food, but had I been serviced correctly, I would have considered coming another day to try a different dinner entree. Due to the poor service, I felt as if my business was not really appreciated. It’s going to be hard for me to come back.
