This place is the jam. We got a soup flight on a cold day, which absolutely hit the spot. The Shakshuka my gf ordered was delicious. The biscuits and gravy was also outstanding. Portions were great. Coffees were yummy.

Super cute and worth the stop! It was so hard to choose what to order because the menu was fantastic and eclectic. I had the stuffed french toast and my husband ordered the western omelette. You would think an omelette is an omelette but it was stupidly tasty. House made breads were also on point. Coffee was STRONG but that works for us. Loved the quirky shabby chic outdoorsy vibe and the playlist. My only criticism is opening at 8am for a breakfast spot, we’re early birds and had to wait around for a bit.

We drove from Maine to Vermont to have a look at the beautiful changing leaves. We saw this place on our route and stopped by for some lunch. It is a very cozy place and decorated so nicely.
The menu is somewhat small, but offers good quality options. I ordered the Jasper Hogan Hodgepodge and my husband got the Applewood BLT.
The food not only looked great when it came out, it was really fresh and tasty as well. The only thing I did not like was the coffee I ordered. It was just over the top for me.
Service was friendly and their prices are great. If you want to try out a nice little place in Gorham, NH to get a bite to eat, you might want to give these folks a try. I’m really glad we did!

This is definitely the best restaurant we have ever been to, and we go to some nice places. So much care is put into every aspect of the place. The food, the decor, and the service. We got the mimosa flight, which was so delicious and unique, with gourmet cookies and herbs. The eggs benedict which was so tasty and complex, and the wild mushroom and spinach omelette. Delicious mushrooms!
We will definitely be back! Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates good food.

We stopped in here while visiting Gorham and we craving some breakfast. I have very simple tastes and don’t enjoy things getting too complicated or fancy. So I am usually am very skeptical with rustic restaurants as most of them have so many ingredients I don’t even know. But The Bear was PHENOMENAL, everything was homemade, right down to the maple ketchup (which I NEEDED to take home), with fresh ingredients I know and love. So I was honestly having a really hard time deciding and ordered TOO much. I am still swooning over the Rosemary and Veggie Homefries. The owner was so kind, patient with my pickiness lol, and it was very apparent her passion for this restaurant and I wish I could attend the cute event ideas she shared with us! But I will be keeping this place in my back pocket for any time I come through here again. 11/10 stars. Well done.

Everything was done with great attention to detail. The atmosphere and food was very rustic and high quality. Feels very unique and authentic. We met the chef and he clearly has a passion and gift for food. We’ll be back again.

The place looks great. It’s very cozy and just neat to look at. The brown sugar cinnamon cappuccino is a must try. The food was great, but the potatoes were not warm when the food came to my table. It tasted really good, and the potatoes were the only food that wasn’t warm. The breakfast sandwich was great. The place was not packed, but it took a long time for our food and coffee to come out. I think it is worth the wait, though. The prices were very fair and affordable for a breakfast stop. I had the monsignor sandwich, and my boyfriend had the sausage and bearscuits. Both dishes were tasty. The waitress was very nice and bubbly.

We stopped in for a delicious late lunch just before closing. Overall the food was very good and the service was great. The beer bread toast is an experience in itself – very good. The sausage gravy has a very unique, almost southwest spin, but it was tasty. The Benny and the Eggs was very good, though my ham edges were a bit over done – not enough of a dealbreaker to take away a star though. Loved the decor, very well done. This place had HUGE shoes to fill when it took over the space that formerly housed SALT – and they do not disappoint.

OMG GET THE BEARSCUIT & GRAVY!!
The breakfast biscuit is heavenly. So fricken good. I should have gotten 6 to go. The rosemary potatoes had a little too much rosemary for me, but the breakfast biscuit made up for it. Super cute building. Extremely friendly and fun staff. I highly recommend to anyone driving through town! So good!

Best “house maid” brunch for miles!! The staff was extremely nice, and I love the eclectic atmosphere! Features beers from all over maine and new hampshire! I had a salty bear with sausage bearscuits and gravy. If you haven’t tried it, you need to stop in.
