We tried this place a couple of times and the service is tends to fall flat. The first time we went they got the orders wrong. They were not busy and it took them a while to get the food to us. Food wasn’t warm and the bacon had an odd taste, like old cooking oil. We decided to give them a second chance and the waitress was much better! My son and I got our food first but it took them another 15 minutes to get my husband’s omelet out to him. The waitress was apologetic about it. The bus person took our drink order but never came back to ask if we needed anything. We would see them just standing around while our poor waitress was working hard. Note to the owner: please train the supportive staff to your waiters and waitress better, they should come around and see if people need more coffee, creamer or water. That would take the burden off your waiting crew. On a positive note, the omelets we ordered were tasty and service hot.

My wife and I got lucky. Back in the summer of 2025, we did our business at the B of A across the street from the Pancakes-R-Us. We were pretty hungry, and we said, let’s give that place over there that looks like an old IHOP a shot. We have rejoiced ever since! We eat out all the time, from top restaurants in Redondo Beach, to Long Beach to other high end restaurant /coffee shops like Mimi’s, Applebees, Norm’s, even P F Chang’s. and the San Franciscon, Chart House,…Long Beach “555”, Parkers Landing. We were blown away from the start, that an IHOP-type restaurant look could transform the restaurant into a great, not only breakfast, but a great lunch and dinner restaurant as well. We have had the pleasure of eating all 3 meals there for the last year and we will keep on eating there as this clean, sanitary place, wonderful servers like Fatima and Sam, the food is high quality, well prepared and consistently top notch!…And the salads are always fresh, like right out of the garden! My wife and I have had many of their offerings and have never been disappointed, always satisfied and always have more than we can eat, very good portions. If you want to enjoy a quality experience at a reasonable price, “This is your place”! Just so you know, we are not affiliated with the ownership/ management whatsoever! Go(!), Enjoy!

Pleasantly surprised. I was meaning to try this old fashioned looking pancake style restaurant. On my way home, I decided to stop in as it was nearby. I was so pleasantly surprised. It was cold outside the sunny window option was so nice. The staff was so friendly without being overbearing.The food was fantastic. I had two eggs over medium hash browns and sausage along with pancakes, they are different they’re big and fluffy and have a homemade taste. Pair of that with a small glass of orange juice in a sunny window, perfect on a cold day.

Went there again cause i wanna like this place, its close to my house. Arrived 830 am Wednesday morning, not a person in there. I was craving potato pancakes, wow, it you want to eat something thats like biting into a texas oil well then order this. Completely and full of oil. Disappointed and discussed. My server although friendly and nice never once came to my table and see if i needed anything. Mind you, not one person in restraunt. I now give up on this place. Based on ita lack of attendance im assuming they will be closing in the near future. Sad

So, I don’t normally review a lot of things, but I have to. Specifically, the servers Fatima and Sarah, they were absolutely killing it. Their commitment to a great restaurant atmosphere while bustling back and forth at max professional speed, all while being absolute bosses with customer service. Impeccable. These two NEED a raise. If you go there, ask for one of these servers… They are the best.
On top of all that, the prices are great and the food has that home cooked meal feel that even other mom n pop shops nowadays seem to be missing.
This place is basically a hair away from being a national treasure. Stop by, you won’t be disappointed.

Just moved to the area and trying to find a good diner. Unfortunately, I can’t say that this place is it. The service left something to be desired. The wait staff got parts of our orders wrong, took the incorrect orders away when pointed out and still charged us for it! Definitely on us for not pushing back more, but want to warn potential diners to be careful what is left on your bill if the service staff messes up. The food was actually pretty good, which is a bummer, but hard to want to go back to a place where you can’t trust in the quality and integrity of the service.

My took me out too breakfast for my birthday … is was excellent… eggs cooked perfect sausage, bacon & pancake…. just around great place… the staff is super nice… the staff found out it was my birthday and surprised me with a birthday crepe… if you’re in the area pull up… they don’t disappoint
