Super bowl Sunday. First time ordering. I was hesitant becsue eof the many bad reviews but still gave it a try. I called and ordered 2 bbq burgers, one with Mac and the other with baked beans. Could sound a little nicer and welcoming. I pulled up and it felt a little uncomfortable at night. It’s natural bridge/Goodfellow. Anyways, I walked in the inside . . Yea. The menu(s)on the wall could be better, also too many different prices online. Which is why I was confused when I went to pay. Please get a clear menu and cleaner environment. Food was ready,. . . Got home.

Baked beans: just okay.
Mac: actually good.
Burger(s): a little tough and cooked more than I would like.
Bread for burger: slice bread and no bun. Steam made it soggy.

Over all it was okay. I dislike plates though where all the liquid is all over the plate it self and it just seems messy. Also I prefer places that offers or gives receipts and it not be and option of the business.

I went here with my Mom , I was visiting from Out of town and we spent about 35 dollars and wanted to eat there but we found out it’s called shack for a reason no utensils are sides $35 worth of meat the owner said those are extra. I was so disappointed and so we ended up leaving with our $35 worth of meat

Blk owned! Not bad at all although he told me when I ordered the beef ribs it was skin and bone very little meat. I still tried it. The sauce was good and savory. Meat that was there could’ve been tender it was tough. He has burgers they are nice in size and good. The rib tip plates could be more meat and less chopped down. But the taste is good. If you are in the mood for some Bar-b-Que stop by the BBQ Shack !!!!

This must be a hit and miss and I only say that cause it’s my mom fav “ she say if it’s fresh I say if it’s not don’t sell it this shhhh was horrible the rib tips weren’t fresh at all… let’s not forget he microwaved my plates. Didn’t speak are anything I’m about supporting BO if it’s legit , they would never get another dime from me , polish was under microwaved smh

I ordered the rib tips and turkey ribs with potato salad and spaghetti. I loved the potato salad for sure as it wasn’t dry like most places in St Louis. This was my first turkey rib experience, and it wasn’t bad. The tips could have been a bit more tender, but I still ate them all! Now the sauce was terrific, but it was kinda on the salty side as other reviews have pointed out. I live a bit nearby this place at the moment, so I’ll be back for sure to try the burger. Oh, I really messed up and forgot to order the fried peach cobbler this last time. BTW, I did try to correct Google Maps on the exact location, but it is obvious when you are actually there.

On a funny side note, when I talk to people about this place, the easiest way to describe the location is “across the street from the notorious gas station on Goodfellow”

I will never return to this place & I will never recommend people to go there!! I went 8/25/25. I was the first person there once I got my food I was at wrk; didn’t eat it til I got home later tht day!! Tht meat was old & very hard it’s like they reheated it & mixed it w/meat tht was just cooked!! Very unacceptable!! Was very disappointed!!!

I know how to cook also try adding different variety of foods on the menu. Called and placed an order and I thought it was going to rain harder so I called right back and canceled my order(which most people wouldn’t do) as we kept driving the rain started slowing down so I called back to tell the guy on the phone that I was sorry and would like to place an order. Before I could get a word out he went off and said you can come here if you want but I’m not taking your order and hung up on me. How FN rude. This tells me a lot about this black owned business. If he’s the owner he needs to not be in business. If he’s not they need to get rid of him. That was truly uncalled for.
