One of the best in Clovis! I highly recommend the Sloppy Hogg Sandwich, which has sausages, pulled pork, and brisket. The brisket had a nice smoky flavor. The coconut cake included banana, nuts, and pineapple, so it wasn’t boring at all! The coleslaw was fruity with a touch of celery, and the pineapple cheesecake was also delicious. They really have a unique menu, and the staff is very friendly with great music playing in the background. Oh and they even gave us a sample of fried catfish omg it was so crispy and had an amazing seasoning.

We are on a road trip south and hubby was in the mood for BBQ ribs.
This place was the only one open on a Sunday during Xmas.
Big portions of ribs were very mesquite tasting.. quite juicy with a side of sauce.
I had the nachos brisket was very good. This is a food truck and there about 4 tables to sit at.
Eric the cook and owner is a delight and gave us a slice of pineapple cheesecake homemade.. so yummy great chatting with you Eric! Gracias

Met the owner in the pizza shop next door and he told me about the catfish special he was going to have the coming weekend. I stopped by on Saturday and ordered the catfish special that came with a drink. The cashier that was a good salesman sold me on the pineapple cheesecake that was delicious by the way! I ordered my plate with the Mac and cheese and fried okra that were both really good. The catfish was cooked perfectly and was so flavorful. I think the last time I had such good catfish was when I was in Missouri.
One thing I love about traveling is finding mom and pop businesses to spend my money at. Do what you can to support the people who spend the profit in your community!
I will definitely be coming back to try the BBQ.

We were driving through NM to Texas and were looking to get food on the way, was kinda late and could not find any place, wo looked at reviews, and found geeat reviews for BBQ king food truck. Decided to try out, and it was a great experience. Food was prepared fresh, very tasty, cat fish was great our 2 yo ate it at once. Briskets were great also, chicken was good, but what was the BEST, are 2 cakes that they carry, cheesecake and banana split, many folks comment on cheesecake, but we thought second one was much better, just crazy good, we wanted to get another round but they were sold out of it, unfortunately. Great prices, very friendly folks in the truck. Highly recommend…if you near this place just stop by and try it. Cheer’s.

Best ribs in town!! I stop by this food truck religiously every weekend to grab a full rack of ribs. This guy loves what he does and does it well. Do yourself a favor and stop by and get a rack. The desserts are homemade and also worth your time, the pineapple cheesecake is easily my favorite. If your trying to solve that bbq craving this is the spot! I would have added a photo but I ate it all already

Just stopped here with my son on the way home to Austin from Colorado. We were in the mood for BBQ and so glad we found this place. Excellent sandwiches served by the friendliest owner. Don’t miss this place whether driving through or you live in Clovis. I highly recommend.

Wowza this place has fabulous BBQ. I went with the ribs and brisket plate, they both blew me away. Cole slaw and mac and cheese were also great. Thank you for adding onions and pickles on the side, everyone should do that. I’ve tried a lot of good BBQ (one year I was even a volunteer judge at the American Royal BBQ Competition), and this place is top notch. The people who work there are fabulous and the pricing was excellent too.

For comparison, I stopped by Tyler’s in Amarillo on the way to Clovis, and their brisket was inedible – it was sooooo dry. Tyler’s is supposed to be an essential Texas BBQ spot, but I don’t get it at all.

I came to BBQ King for a BBQ redemption and it did not disappoint. I was told the dessert sells out by Saturday, and hot damn the pineapple cheesecake is delicious. I wish I grabbed a second piece, and a slice of the banana split cake too. Hopefully they have some left tomorrow when I go back to try the fried catfish, which I hear is also yummy.

I’m here for a few more days, so I’ll definitely be back. I’ll update as I try more things.

I make it my business to eat here at least once a week. My typical order is the Cajun catfish with fried okra and French fries. However, whenever they’re doing the smoked turkey legs or the lollipop chicken legs I’m always gonna grab these, too! The food 10/10, the portions 10/10. The people 10/10!
