We almost always make our way to The Bavarian when we’re in Taos. Located at the Taos Ski Valley, this unique restaurant caters to the skiers as well as drive up diners. The view is spectacular. The food is very good, too. I’m always good for a schnitzel, giant soft pretzel and beer! It definitely is a fun place to go.

Best spot on the mountain! The pretzel and carrot ginger soups was exactly what we needed to warm up a little and get right back on the lift! As a heads up, the line for food and drinks starts getting crazy at 10:30-11. It does not get any shorter until the lift closes at 3:50 but it moves pretty quickly!

The Bavarian is an outstanding authentic German restaurant. The food was outstanding, the inside of the restaurant had a lodge like feel to it and was really neat. It’s a little slow in Taos during the summer but the Bavarian was somewhat crowded when we had our late lunch there so you know that’s a good sign if the locals like it there! Must be a madhouse during ski season.

Love the warmth and vibe here of the staff and the food. Wonderful spot to meet up with friends off the slope at Lift 4. Fun patio vibe on warm days. Packed inside during lunch hour, especially on a colder day. I like the addition of Apple Pay out front. Not a big fan of the line that forms though ❤️

Stopped here with my brother in late May and it was fantastic! We ate outside on the very large porch with a view of Wheeler Peak and other mountains. You order at the bar; the guy running the register when we were there was super friendly and gave us good menu suggestions.
