I stopped in for lunch and what a treat!! The ladies were all so nice and they helped each other out without question. The food was delicious!! I ordered a house salad and the 911 roll. The salad came out accompanied by a cup of soup and a spring roll. I’m not sure what the soup was but it was very good. A short time later, my roll came out and I couldn’t have been happier with my purchase. I’ll definitely go back when in the area and recommend to any who like good sushi. They have lots of other things to choose from as well pho, tai dishes like curry etc.

First time at the restaurant, Thai yellow curry noodles chicken ( Famous Khao Soi) was so delicious. Food tasted better than food in Thailand, lol.

I was very happy they had Khao soi but when I requested extra spicy, I was told they were out of “spicy” they were also out of mangoes so I couldn’t get mango sticky rice. I understand things are in season but being out of chili peppers is super hard to believe. They do source from the local Asian market so I suppose that is why they were out.
Service was good and the waiter did bring me the chili tray with hot sauce and chili paste, so it helped a little. The salmon mango roll was decent, the starter they gave for free was nice gesture but tasted really old and cold. Overall I probably won’t go back.

My husband, daughter and I went to Basil Leaf for the first time and were not disappointed. We got the Crab Rangoon for an appetizer and it was probably the best I have ever had. I tried their Boston Roll (first time eating sushi), but switched the avocado for cucumber and it was so fresh and delicious. I chose their Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken, my husband and daughter got the Phad Woonsen, one with pork and one with beef. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back! The service and atmosphere were amazing!

Had a fantastic dinner at Basil Leaf! This charming little restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. While the restaurant has an upscale vibe, it’s still a casual and welcoming place to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend!

From the warm greeting upon entering to the thank you for coming as we exited everything was simply amazing. I had Red Curry and chicken and it was delicious! The server was one point the entire time. The staff ALL looked happy to be there. The environment was welcoming. It was overall a great experience. We will definitely be back.

This was a very nice casual place for dinner. The Tom Yum soup was absolutely fantastic, full flavor. The Pad Thai was not even average. I think it was drenched in peanut sauce, it sure tasted like it. The overall experience was average. I would go back, but simply for the Tom Yum soup only. I cannot say enough positive about it.

High Point is home to so many Thai restaurants that even a Thai/sushi combo isn’t unique here. Amid such competition, it is hard to stand out though The Basil Leaf certainly gives it a good try.
Though not a large space, The Basil Leaf doesn’t lack for seating. The ambiance aims for classy without being stuffy and largely succeeds. Service was attentive throughout our meal.
The Basil Leaf’s menu features a variety of Japanese (appetizers, sushi, and teriyaki/hibachi entrees) and Thai (appetizers, soups, salads, curries, noodles, and more) offerings. There were no unexpected finds, but if you know the cuisine well enough to know what you want, you’ll likely find it here.
I had a Pad Thai craving and, my wife and I ended up going with a chicken Pad Thai, a beef pineapple fried rice, and a Crab Rangoon starter. The food was tasty (good amount of sauce on the noodles and sweetness balanced with curry notes in the fried rice), and The Basil Leaf will match your desired spice level. While the plating aims for aesthetic sophistication (i.e. carrots cut into a flower shape), serving the rice in a rectangular block was an odd touch. Both entrees were generously portioned. At $15 and $17, neither broke the bank though the prices are a bit higher than the nearest competitor.
All told, The Basil Leaf isn’t likely to become my favorite Thai eatery, but it is one that I would feel no qualms about coming back to.

Kind of pricey, but the food was really good. Will definitely add this to my lineup for good places in the area. The drinks were a bit off. They tasted watered down. I had a lemon drop and my partner had an old fashioned. The old cash definitely had a watered down taste, and the lemon drop was just really sweet
