I have eaten food at carls seafood before, today was by far the worst 2/14/26. Oxtails n gravy was NOT what is usually, terrible today. Cabbage was like it was from another day mushy and over cooked. Must be a new cook. TURNED ME

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Carl’s Seafood Restaurant. What should have been a pleasant takeout experience turned into a frustrating waste of time due to their abysmal customer service.
Before heading to the restaurant, I called ahead specifically to inquire about their snapper. I informed the staff member that I was on my way and would arrive in about 25 minutes. Upon arrival, I was shocked to learn they had sold out of snapper, supposedly selling the last one just before I got there.
The staff member I spoke with at the restaurant was not even the same person who took my call. Instead of apologizing for the miscommunication, she became argumentative. Her dismissive attitude and complete lack of concern for my wasted trip were appalling. She made no attempt to offer any alternative solutions or to make the situation right.
It’s clear that Carl’s Seafood Restaurant has little regard for their customers’ time or satisfaction. Their inability to manage their inventory for just 25 minutes, coupled with their unapologetic and confrontational approach to customer service, is unacceptable.
Needless to say, I will not be returning to Carl’s Seafood Restaurant. I strongly advise others to avoid this establishment if they value their time and expect even a basic level of customer service. There are far better seafood and Jamaican options in the area that actually appreciate their customers.

Carl’s is THE place to go for authentic Jamaican food in southern Florida, HANDS DOWN! I only get to enjoy Carl’s once a year when I come to visit, but if I lived here I’d be eating Carl’s at least twice a week, no joke! The oxtail with rice and peas with steamed cabbage is the best thing I’ve ever eaten!

Carls offers flavorful authentic Jamaican food and usually gives hearty servings. The chicken is very succulent and spicy (as I like it) and their plantains are the perfect flavor and texture. My only grievance is that it has the word “seafood” in its name yet only has one seafood item.

Ive been buying a fried chicken from here since my pregnant wife likes it. Idk who is cooking during lunch rush but for some reason they keep frying the chicken in the same grease they fry the fish. It was great the first couple times cause we ordered late. But every time we order around lunch, it tastes like fish

I just recently heard of this restaurant and it was ok until one of the servers at the restaraunt put hair in my food. I tried to address the matter and I was ignored, I waited on the phone for almost 10 minutes so I can speak to a manager and instead, one of the employees or the manager kept me on hold, I hung up to call back and no one answered the phone I don’t know if it’s someone trying to bring down the business or if it’s something else, but in my experience it’s usually intentional not accidental. And if the reason why the hair was placed in my order is for me not to come back, no worries I will not be back to place another one. I will like to also add that I didn’t see the hair in my food until I got home. I was hours away from home I did not get a chance to eat the food right away and for me to be so far away from the restaurant I couldn’t even send it back from my money to be refunded to me, that was the most inconvenient part of this all, but from the looks of it that was their intention. Provide bad food and bad customer service and take people money.

Queenie is the best! So kind and considerate. She always have a smile on her face when you see her. She is so pleasant, when I call to see what they have she is so kind. She will call me if something is not available, let me know if something isnt available and what they currently have. This sweet lady deserves a raise and should be the face of the company .

I’ve been going there for years! Moved away for a while came back and it did not disappoint at all. Now that’s consistency!!! And the service actually got so much better than what it used to be so that’s definitely a plus. I only wish they still that lobster/shrimp in garlic butter sauce lol but times have changed right.

I usually come & the food is great today it was disgusting the chicken was COLD the rice was reheated with a very old smell. I get the same thing everytime I come & today it was an issue about gravy portion I was ordering for multiple people so I allowed them to continue for the rice to be old and stale and the chicken ice cold un heated I originally should’ve left but they had already made the rice and chicken honestly next time I won’t care I usually come later in the day that’s all I’d advise because the food I had today was stale

They don’t have quick lines likes patty & DRINKS or etc only 1 big LINE that’s sometimes out thee doors, expect 10-20 mins just for patties in a warning case go figure, let me just pay for it now, instead of waiting in 1 LINE for everything?
