While this was the best Virginia fried chicken I ever had, the wait was awful. I did not expect to wait one hour for my fried chicken. This was not during a lunch rush, but early afternoon around 1:20 PM. I do not know why there was a long wait as a restaurant wasn’t overly packed. Waiting this long cause me to have to cancel my afternoon plans as I was delayed an hour.
Since an apology was not offered for the long wait, this might be a common occurrence.
Highly recommend calling ahead to avoid long waits. Also recommend that the restaurant staff warn their customers if there is going to be a long wait. Many of them are used to fast food being delivered within 20 minutes of ordering.

I love the Greek Gyro! It’s surprisingly great for a diner style restaurant. Stuffed to the brim with fries overload.
We had 6 people in our party and everybody was happy with their food.
The downside of this restaurant is the size and noise level. It’s small and packed with people. At least, it’s been like that every time we went. The atmosphere is diner/cafeteria like.

While traveling with work, I saw The Barn Restaurant on Google. My coworker said it was very good. I was met at the counter by a very nice lady who took my order. I was indecisive, the other lady said “you want the fried chicken” so i ordered that. Then came the side, she said “you want yhe mashed potatoes & gravy”, sobi ordered that too. Both were delicious! The restaurant is very clean & the employees there are very friendly. The others dining there were nice too. I’ not just coming back, I’ll bring my family with me next time.

While the restaurant looks really aesthetically pleasing. the staff are not at all. When walking in, my sister and i a party of two weren’t acknowledged at all. The people behind us left due to the wait. there was three tables in there the biggest party being 3 and none of them had food on the table. We were getting takeout and the older white lady, the one time she spoke to us came off rude due to her attitude and the way she spoke. what she said wasn’t so rude but her approach was after making us wait so long and never acknowledging us. they had 4 cooks, a manager, an older lady cashier in the front, and a younger girl doing every position all working. none moved fast but the younger girl who put our order together. the food is great if you want to wait i would recommend dining in and on a day you have time and want to catch up with a friend or a date due to the wait time being 30min- hr. the food is priced accurately and you get a hefty amount as well. They have so much potential but the staff wasn’t rush ready at all, even for 3/ parties that didn’t come in all at once they weren’t prepared for. if the staff was a little faster and more efficient this restaurant would have gotten 5 stars. If customer service and time efficiency would improve i can see this restaurant really thriving.

Great place to eat! Family atmosphere and quality food at a VERY reasonable price! Trey and Ricky are masters of their craft, and their staff is friendly and welcoming! Saturday breakfast buffet is a must! Keep up the great work!!!

Finally made a pit stop at The Barn Restaurant. Awesome little spot! Looked nice inside, friendly lady at the till to take my order. Although people talk about them having good fried chicken, I went for a good ole footlong hotdog. They were sadly out of footlongs, so they were selling two regular dogs for the same price. Great dogs! I ordered mine with onions, mustard, chili, cheese, and slaw. It’s an absolute mess of tasty joy! Oh, and the fries are tasty as well, with an excellent portion for the price. Will have to go back and try the chicken, but for a good old fashion chili dog, give em a try!

We eat here every week!! Everything is delicious made to perfection and with love!! Always too much food, clean, very friendly staff, so enjoy being there to eat!! Fish Fry Fridays are great, as are specialty menus on certain days!! Best chicken ever and burgers are delicious!! Can’t say a bad thing, Trey and Rick are great and have brought a great Resturant to Waynesboro!!!!

What an awesome restaurant! When you go in, you order your food at the front and then set down and wait for your number to be called, which is really easy and convenient. Service is so friendly and everything is clean. The food was awesome. My wife and i had a footlong hotdog, and we split a philly cheese steak with onion rings and mac and cheese.. i knowit’ss ALOT of food, and it was all great.. i highly recommend this place! Oh, i almost forgot they have a lot of dessert options, and we got coffee cake and a coconut cake to go. I haven’t tried them but they look delicious!

I’m truly curious how this place won the Valley’s Favorite restaurant. Mostly instant sides, like potatoes, brown gravy, and Stauffers stuffing. They were also out of alot of items. The helpings of chicken are good and tenders are juicy with good flavor. Drink machine was broken with a sign, so your choices were sweet or unsweetened tea. Straws and plastic ware are thrown into a bin unwrapped. You order at the counter then go back up to get your meal and clean up after yourself. The person who took our order did their best to answer our questions since we had never been there.
