The Barn Original has proudly been in business for over 90 years. Our burgers and baby back ribs served in a speakeasy atmosphere with rustic décor have made us well known. We have the best ribs in NJ that are prepared fresh with love daily and fall off the bone with ease. Our Barn Burger isn’t something to take lightly either, made with fresh beef and toppings while being declared Best in New Jersey by NJ Magazine! Our casual family eatery is located in an old fruit barn. There is no sign out front, look for the lights wrapped around a tree across from the Sicomac elementary school.
Set in a 1779 dairy barn, this stalwart, rustic outpost provides cocktails, brews & American eats.

A very unique place to have a meal, the barn is in wonderful condition and has clearly been well cared for by the owners over the past many, many, many years. The ribs were fall off the bone and very satisfying, but the burger was very average. Service was good and I liked that they had local beers on tap. A very nice experience while in the area.

This place has such a great American gastropub / sports bar vibe. I loved all the carved initials and names all over the walls! The menu is simple. Everything you would want in an American gastropub, you can find here. The cocktails were 50/50. Some were great, most were pretty average. I would not recommend getting a speciality cocktail. The clam chowder was also a split decision. One person enjoyed it, the other passed and ordered the French onion soup, which was better. The ribs were soft, and saucy. They were one of the best things we ordered. Pass on the fish and chips, they are a greasy mess. The garlic mashed potatoes, forgot the garlic. Also, a pass. Both burgers were great, I would highly recommend them as a choice. Personally, I ordered the rib eye salad. It was very good and a generous portion. It has so much steak! The desserts were not worth it. Pass on those. Overall, I love the vibe. If I were to return, it would be to have a standard cocktail at the bar and a burger, nothing more.

I rated this place a few years ago as went in for a burger and it was very disappointing. I went in the other day and ordered the starter ribs and a martini – the ribs were outstanding. They have added outside seating and the entrance is now towards the back and there is valet parking. All very new – will be back to try another burger!

Super cool place. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Ribs are awesome. Onions rings and fries are both delicious. Next time I’m trying the burgers, which we were told by the waitress are amazing. The beer menu was also solid.

Good hamburgers and steak sandwiches. Initials on their barnwood walls almost as old as the wood itself and fun to look at. Gets crowded and wait can b long. They have outside tables in the back now, so that will help. Helpful with take out orders, will bring to your car. A nice gathering place to have a drink n food!

A great little gem tucked away. Great menu and a gentleman who I think was the owner even came over when he saw we did not finish the fried calamari. We were just saving room for dinner but it was the attention to detail that was impressive. Will definitely be back! Waiters and waitresses were very attentive!
