Very clean restaurant with very nice staff. The food was excellent and I was very happy that they had a gluten-free dedicated fryer as well as gluten-free buns. They have fresh cut fries. I had a build your own burger and my boyfriend had a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. We were both totally satisfied with our food. We were surprised that the sandwiches with fries were both only $10. Can’t go wrong with that. They offered desserts as well as a wide variety of alcohol and specialty drinks. They played very light music over the system which we enjoyed. They also had a tiki bar but we did not go downstairs to see it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The Barefoot Burger offers a unique dining experience. The old building has been transformed into a comfortable dining space and going down a few steps you are into the bar area. I did not sample the bar offerings, but the food was really good. While they are known for burgers, I had a pasta dish with alfredo sauce and fresh steamed broccoli, garlic bread and a very fresh salad. The portions for generous and the food was well prepared. The service was friendly, and I definitely plan to go back.

Walked in from the street and stood there, looking for a hostess stand. A thin brunette with side burns and toned arms snapped at is to go stand in line at the other side of the restaurant. We gladly shuffled to the line but were still left confused because there wasn’t anyone taking names, it was a just a line to wait in. There were available tables and bar seats but we all had to wait for the larger party 6 to get seated before we could sit.
Smiled at another brunette with gaged ears just to get an eye roll…
Food was great but we will never go back, who wants to be treated badly?
We sat at the bar and the kitchen was kicking butt making hand breaded chicken strips but the energy created by half the staff makes this place a no go!

Wanted to check the place out and see if the food was good. Everyone’s burgers were pink inside some very pink, if you enjoy your burgers like that you’ll love this place. The chef asked about our food and we discussed it with him. He indicated that even though we hadn’t noticed it that the menu states that all burgers will be cooked medium. He offered to cook me a new one which I accepted, it was still pink (not as much as everyone else’s had been), but it did taste good. The experience was kind of awkward with some joking that didn’t seem like joking. That being said the effort to please was noteworthy and some of the food was very good.

This place is definitely a vibe. Food was amazing and the service was even better! The guy working even ran my to-go box outside to me because I forgot it at the table when I left! It’s rare to find great places like this anymore. So glad I stopped it and will definitely go back if I’m in the area again!

Great place, great food!! The bbq and ranch dips are amazing!! The patrons, the staff and atmosphere are awesome!! So welcoming!! If you want small town hospitality and a fun experience, definitely come here!! We will drive the 45 min from Indianapolis to come again!!!

DISHONESTY not food ENSURES WE WONT BE BACK AND WON’T RECOMMEND!
I understand gas hikes and inflation suck all around, and some restaurants are adding $.50 or so to cover the costs of their existing, printed menu. However when you have a Special on the board that you hand wrote that day as $10.99 and you bill for $13.99, something is wrong. Real, real wrong! I was overcharged a total of $7.50 on the bill and when I gave the waitress/management the chance to correct the bill, I was left with a smart remark instead.
The Special – The Poutine Burger was supposed to be covered in gravy, cheese curds, and American cheese with a side of fries for $10.99. She came out and said they were out of mashed potatoes, had the broccoli, and asked if fries would be okay. I laughed, pointed at the board and said, fries are what we ordered so yes!
We got beef patty with gravy, fries and broccoli.
We asked for a little extra gravy so we could dip the fries. It came out later in a small ketchup/dressing size cup.
Sign at the door says wait to be seated. The waitress calls out to seat yourself wherever. Most of all tables were dirty. Service was a bit slow, but the fact that the food seemed to be made to order excused the wait. But hey they had all that time to consider cleaning tables or refilling drinks. All around the food was good. I was ready to come back with family and friends. UNTIL….
Billed $13.99 for $10.99 Chef’s special and didn’t get it as described.
Billed $12.99 for $11.99 Fettuccini (portion seemed small compared elsewhere.)
Billed $8.50 for $7.99 Barnyard Chicken.
Billed $3.00 for small side of gravy as a “small queso appetizer”
Drinks were the only thing that weren’t upcharged at $2.00 each.
The waitress returned saying her manager said nothing could be done. Then she added, “Don’t blame me! I just push buttons.” That last comment she made certainly pushed some buttons.
Well don’t blame me for the shortage on your tip. Discuss with your manager the extra upcharges.
Sad. It definitely ensures I won’t come back nor recommend it to anyone. Theft of customers is not cool! I’ll be sure to tell my friends.

If you are in a hurry DO NOT GO HERE!! It took 15 minutes for the server (who was young, sweet and by herself in the restaurant and patio) to come to our table. Food took forever and was undercooked. $5 charge for getting 6 onion rings. Couldn’t sit on patio because tons of smokers Not recommended
