Here is my honest review. My friend and I were very excited to try this spot since we are both big fans of barbecue. Although the service was outstanding, I have to take major points off for the food. We all know bbq isn’t cheap and we spent a little over $100, that being for a lot of food, but the quality was just not there. The jalapeño cheddar sausage had a good snap, but lacked the heat you want. The brisket and whole chicken were both on the drier side, and lacking a good flavor overall. The pulled pork, while moist, also lacked this same flavor. The ribs were fall off the bone, but also somehow managed to be dry and lacking flavor. A big upside was that the Carolina gold sauce and Kansas City bbq sauce helped the meat at its downfall. Again, I really was hoping for a better experience, but you should be wary of trusting google reviews blindly.

Stopped today for lunch. Food was spectacular. Owner was very personable which you don’t see often. Perfect portions for the price that was paid. The Brisket was just the right amount of fatty as you would want it to be. Excited to eat here again.

It’s hard to find a BBQ joint with brisket this good. The brisket was perfect and the ribs were phenomenal as well. Also tried the jalapeno cheese sausage, which went really well with the Carolina sauce. Cannot recommend this spot enough.

The BBQ Spot is absolutely incredible! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with that amazing barbecue aroma that tells you right away you’re in for something special. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always happy to make a recommendation if you’re not sure what to try first.
The food is top-notch — everything is cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The brisket is melt-in-your-mouth tender, the pulled pork is juicy and smoky, and the ribs are fall-off-the-bone delicious. The homemade sides, especially the mac and cheese and baked beans, are the perfect complement to the main dishes.
The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and you can tell everything is made with care and pride. Whether you’re dining in, grabbing takeout, or catering an event, you really can’t go wrong here.

My husband and I are from Washington State visiting family who live locally. Google didn’t disappoint when we were searching smoked BBQ food and was led to The Barbecue Spot. The smoked brisket and baby back ribs just melted in my mouth. The Mac & cheese is homemade and delicious. We met the Owner (Cort) and he recounted how long he spent getting the Mac & cheese just right. The owner is very knowledgeable about proteins and smoking them. The combination is the most amazing meal! If you like smoked meats you’ll love this place. If you’ve always wanted to try it you’re in for the best first experience. The Barbecue Spot has only been open for 4 months (as of Oct 2025). Word of mouth has already made it a popular place and after our experience I can see why. This is definitely a place we’ll come back to next time we’re in the area.

I have been waiting for years for a good BBQ place to come into the area…
This is hands down the best. The brisket sandwich is a pulled brisket which is my absolute favorite and very difficult to come by around here. Truthfully the best brisket sandwich I have ever had. Very generous portions for a great price too.
The mac and cheese was very unique and we enjoyed it as well.
The real surprise were the beans. I am not a big baked beans person, but these are SO SPECIAL! There is so much flavor in every bite! I was genuinely shocked because I wasn’t expecting a side order of beans to be such a special treat.
I am so grateful that these guys are here. We are going to be very regular customers. You will absolutely not regret stopping by.

My wife and I stopped by for the first time this evening. The pork and brisket were amazing! We paired them with the sweet and tangy sauce. Mac & Cheese, beans and Cole slaw were very good as well. Prices are very reasonable. Owners were very friendly. The establishment is take out only. We will definitely be back to to try the other menu items and different sauces!

One of the worst briskets I’ve had locally big mikes is best period. It was 30$ for 1 pound and it was terrible I pay 12$ for a pound at big mikes and get like 3 pounds for the price this is the worst bbq place price wise and brisket wise I’ve ever been to very good service and nice people though
