Absolutely blown away at the quality of the food here! Being a BBQ fanatic, I had to stop in and give it a try. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was perfect! The greens were good and needed a little hot sauce, that’s how us southerners love our greens; spicy. The pork belly bites were phenomenal!! If you’re in the area and looking for some amazing food and you’re a BBQ fanatic like myself; you need to make a stop here! Friendly, down to earth staff/owners. Service was great as well!

Nice place. Great food. Only odd thing was pricing of items were wrong.

Boneless rib sandwich ($8) plus green beans ($3) were billed as party platter ($12). The cashier said those items were not in the computer and couldnt explain the pricing difference. Said was tax. The burnt end platter came up $14 but the whiteboard said $15. Was a wash but weird. Despite all this, we would go back.

I’m sorry to have to give this place two stars, as the owners seem like nice folks. We ordered a 1/2 rack platter of ribs with fries and corn bread. This was on a weekday just after they opened for lunch, so I’m kind of willing to cut them a break thinking maybe the ribs I got were from the day before. But in any event the outer surface of the ribs was as tough as shoe leather and the meat overall was too dry. The BBQ sauce was good – a little peppery for my taste but it had a nice flavor and balance.

The fries, which were cooked fresh, were soggy. Either they weren’t cooked in hot enough oil or they didn’t have enough time to drain. The corn bread might have been okay, but it was hard to tell since it had so little flavor after the ribs and fries. I’ve had great corn bread at other places that did a much better job holding its own against the flavor of ribs.

I’ve read some of the other reviews and this place seems to have good feedback from other customers. I’m willing to consider that maybe I was there on a bad day or at the wrong time, but going by the meal I had I have to stand by my two star review.

The food is very good and they give good portions. We had the brisket and the Kansas City burnt ends platter with mac and cheese, mashed sweet potatoes, and corn bread sides, but I can imagine all of their food is good. Definitely quality BBQ and recommended.

Next time I go I’ll post a picture of the food as just seeing it, especially for BBQ says it all.

My husband has had brisket all over the country. He said their brisket might be the best he ever tasted! Also, really nice sized portions, you don’t leave hungry. Potato salad is extremely good too! We are excited we found the place. It is just a block or so off of the awesome Cape May bike path!

I had the st Louis style ribs with the sweet sauce a side of collared greens & potato salad. It was excellent, price was right $17.I added more sauce because I like them extra wet.My better half had the pulled pork sandwich, she said it was very good but she did add more sauce. The food was great & I Will be back .We sat outside to eat,it was cooler than inside. This did seem more of a take out than eat in but they did have tables.

Husband and wife own this location …Both are friendly and serve a beautiful brisket.
For $8.00 you get a nice, fresh, brisket sandwich or for $13.00; you get two additional side dishes.
Eating arrangements are outside or inside and parking is ample…
It is worth the trip to enjoy some, good feeling food…
The sides are okay but nothing to get excited about. That is not say, they were not tasty but, they are “sides” after all…
The beauty is in their meats…so, take the extra 20 minutes to make your way here and try the brisket first…
Once you approve, then lock this location on your GPS and enjoy some “awesomeness”.

Great BBQ Food! They are only open Fri/Sat/Sun. Owners are very friendly. We were a party of 4 each got different foods…. Everything was fantastic. Ribs/Brisket/Pulled Pork/Chicken, Beans, Corn Bread, Mac N Cheese (best ever!), Potato Salad, Cole Slaw. We only come down 2-3 times a year on vacation and this will definitely be a spot we will return to every time.

Came across this on the drive to Wildwood. Stopped in not knowing what to expect ( I normally check Google first!). It was delicious! Tried the pulled pork sandwich with slaw and Carolina BBQ sauce. Pork was moist and tasty & the vinegary carolina-style sauce might become a new fave. We also tried small sides of baked beans and mac and cheese. Both were house-made and tasty!
