Extremely classy and historical inside. This bar is in the main lobby which is inside the old union station building. Drinks are delicious, bar tenders, are kind and attentive. I had their wings and they were pretty tasty. Definitely coming back love this concept.

Pros:
Beautifully remodeled building, great atmosphere and clean.
Cons:
Food – Prime rib sliders, fried chicken sandwich and clam chowder was very salty and overcooked.
Chicken sandwich was a thigh cut, and had minimal meat.
Drinks – old fashions were dismal, they seemed to have bourbon, water and an orange peel.
Recommend – cool place to see once, but wouldn’t advise eating there until it changes.

I first knew this building back in 2014–2015, when it wasn’t being used and sadly had become a place for homeless people to sleep, with public toilets and a strong smell of pee. I always thought it was such a waste for such a beautiful historic building.
Now in 2025, I came back to Utah and was absolutely blown away by the transformation! They’ve beautifully restored it and turned it into a luxury hotel with an amazing bar. They kept the original character of the building while giving it new life, such a perfect use of space.
I went to the bar right away, the service was excellent, and the food was great. The location is also ideal: right by downtown Salt Lake and all the main attractions, and only about a 15-minute ride from the airport on the clean, affordable UTA TRAX.
If you’re visiting Salt Lake, this place is a must! I’d absolutely stay at the hotel next time.

First visit, ordered “Just the Flats” which came out very dry with little to no meat. Second time, I was staying at the hotel, and I ordered the steak salad, steak was chewy but salad had good flavor with crunchy lettuce.
Servers were pleasant and polite.

Chad, Cody and Stephanie at the bar are some of the most professional and hard working bar tenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by. I travel extensively for work and have been to hotel bars worldwide and The Bar at Asher Adams competes with the best of them and it’s because of the people that serve you. They take their jobs seriously and provide delicious drinks crafted with care and attention to detail. We keep coming back because of the fine service and detail to the craft by Chad, Cody and Stephanie. The food is also always amazing, and you cannot beat the view of the refurbished train station. Highly recommend for anyone in SLC to stop by.

When you have a beautiful experience you should write a review. I ended up in this bar and had a great time, the bartenders were lovely especially Mary, always smiling and polite! She also made a brand new cocktail with the flavors I talked her about! There was some artist also singing and playing the guitar, such a lovely time and place! A big hello from Italy

This bar is great. The atmosphere is obviously spectacular in the grand hall, but the staff is also attentive. Maryfrank is an amazing bartender. She makes amazing old fashions and even remembered my unique drink order over multiple days during my visit. Would recommend!

Out of every restaurant in the city, this is the place we decided to come for my birthday. Their Wagyu burger, french fries, fry sauce, and drink selection are unsurpassed! The bar staff are some of the most warm, genuine, amazing individuals! Chad and Steph took such good care of us and made my birthday Absolutely magical! They went above and beyond our expectations! This was conclusively the best choice for our birthday celebrations!
