Great first experience! Hostess, waiter, and everyone else were very friendly and attentive. We were there on a Friday evening and still got great service and didn’t have to wait long for anyone to take care of us (eg order taking, drink refills, etc). We were going to get an appetizer you could get at any restaurant but before we ordered, the waiter recommended the tequila prawns… And it was delicious! Felt like something that was more unique/ a differentiator to the Baler and was a winner. I had the short rib and my partner had the ribeye. All the food was good but we were bummed the tomahawk wasn’t available that evening. My cocktail was stiff and well worth the money. We’ll definitely be back, even if it’s just for drinks in the bar. The atmosphere is a lot nicer than it did as the former business and I hope they continue investing in making it a nice environment.

Service and food was lacking for the price. We had to wait to get silverware for our mains. Drinks were over priced. My wife ordered her steak medium rare and I ordered blue, hers was blue and mine was out of the fridge cold. Presentation was flat like something you’d order from Denny’s. Our server did say they don’t get many requests for blue and asked how they could do better. Over all a lackluster meal for the price they charge.

The Baler our Anniversary Night

First and foremost this is not a paid or compensated review..

I was looking for a place to take my wife for our anniversary..I said to myself let’s try the Baler..I wanted to make it really special because what do men do for anniversary’s..we try to make it special to make our special women happy…

Well Raul did a fantastic job because I asked if he could do a Candle lit dinner for us…A+++

I wanted to surprise my wife with the most memorable evening..music played table-side..but have them walk up playing as we started our evening…Raul just knew exactly who what where and helped me put the plans into motion…and it was absolutely fantastic…

Now…the food..Stellar..the bacon filet was perfect and complimented well with the mashed potatoes…and my wife had a delicious pasta dish..

Unfortunately we were too stuffed to even try desert..but we’ll try next time….

Customer Service absolutely phenomenal..If you’re looking to celebrate that anniversary, birthday, kids moving out..new job..old job…

The Baler & Raul 10+ for my wife let me live to tell the tale about how great our evening was and thank you…

Delicious food! I’ve been there twice My favorite so far was the Brussel sprouts, chicken bowl and mushroom style rice. Their drinks were AMAZING! The waiter was a 5 star service, he definitely had top experience. The owner welcomed our family. The owner was very kind and humble seemed genuine about wanting feedback:)

We have had the pleasure of eating at this excellent steakhouse for the past two Friday nights. I might have to start coming twice a week! The service is only surpassed by beauty of the dishes you are presented with, but not outdone by the food itself. I am a regular steakhouse visitor, and visit many of the best in the Bay Area several times a month. You will not find a better steak at a better price anywhere. My wife had the lobster risotto and her family is from Maine. She said it was one of the best she had tasted. If you enjoy Bourbon, then I also recommend the the smoked Old Fashioned. It was presented with the glass cover and removed at the table adding some fun and excitement as the smoke dissipates to reveal the star of the show. Excellent dining experience all around, unique fun atmosphere, with attentive friendly service at a price that will make you think you should tip 30%.

Service was great, the waitress was prompt, knowledgeable, and very kind.

Food was meh for the price. My NY Steak was overcooked (Med instead of Med Rare), but Wife’s steak was cooked per the order. However, neither steak, veggies, risotto, or truffle Mac n Cheese had ANY seasoning or flavor. I thought I had COVID again because everything was so bland. I had to ask for salt and pepper shakers to season the food, and then the salt crystals were too big for the shaker’s holes! I would recommend the Baler Frie; those were excellent!

We went at opening at 4:30pm, and the bathroom toilet had residue of fecal matter on it when I lifted the seat and the sink had old soap stains.

Norms that I’ve come to expect at other similarly priced steak houses that were NOT AT THE BALER:

1. Bread at the table to start, not a deal breaker, just a norm that I’ve come to expect at a steak house.
2. Having the waiter or waitresses inquire if the meat was cooked as requested.
3. The meat is properly seasoned without me asking for a salt and pepper shaker to season it myself.
4. Cleaner bathrooms.
5. To be escorted to our table (we were told to sit wherever).

My husband and I went to order take out today. I ordered pomodoro raviolis and when I get home I open my box and I see 8 raviolis and 1 piece of artichoke and 3 shrimps. I payed $30.86 dollars it’s not worth it

Great fillet excellent preparation and presentation! Everyone else’s meals the pork medallions and salmon were delectable The waitress was very nice and and was quite attentive but not overbearing! The 4 of us had a Nice spot near the window with no body really close but nice decor! Definitely coming back … Need to try the pasta dishes next time

Everything was fantastic! Can’t wait to eat here again. My husband had the Porterhouse steak and it was fantastic. The best steak we have ever had. I had the surf and turf which was also so good. The staff was friendly and attentive. The owner Raul came by several times to check on us. Such a special restaurant to have in our small town. We will definately we going back.
