Hands down the worst papusa I’ve ever been served anywhere. I paid nearly $15 for two of them (which is insane pricing for a good papusa let alone what I received, but the images looked good so I figured i’d give it a shot). Both revuelta papusas were burnt, falling apart, and looked/smelled/tasted like they’d been baptized in dirty grease. Not sure what the hell happened here, and the guy was nice but it’s clear he shouldn’t be cooking. I get that it’s in a home depot parking lot, and my standards aren’t high, but this was foul.

When they first opened their pupusas were around 4.50? Less than $5 for sure. But recently I was shocked and honestly disappointed to find out they’re charging $7.50 for a SINGLE pupusa. That’s an unacceptable price especially considering pupusas are traditionally humble, affordable street food meant to be enjoyed by everyone.
It wasn’t even oversized or filled with anything special to justify the cost. Just your standard pupusa, served alone with a tablespoon of curtido For that price, I expected something way more generous.
There’s nothing wrong with businesses wanting to profit, but this just feels like price gouging. I support small and local, but not when prices are inflated this badly. Especially in a small town like willits. You have absolutely have no competition as you are the only place in town who serves them. You tried to blame it on the bypass but that was built back in 2014, almost 11 years ago. Maybe have better food and prices and then talk! Don’t use that as an excuse for your overpriced mediocre food. Won’t be coming back unless they offer fair pricing or at least make the value match the cost.

The food is delicious. Carne asada in my tostada was fresh and perfectly cooked. I could not get enough of their salsa. The hat lampshades make for a fun and friendly ambiance. The server, who might have been the owner, was incredibly welcoming, warm, generous, and swift to provide our order. He went out of his way to confirm the kitchen could meet our off-menu requests. Highly recommended.

Food was so delicious for dinner, we went back the next day for lunch before heading home. Everything ordered was served fresh. The guacamole was great! For dinner, ordered the chicken tacos platter and the plate with pastor and came with a huge flour tortilla. For lunch, ordered the chile relleno and the enchiladas plate with shredded chicken. So fresh and very delicious. This is our “go-to” place when we travel back.

Good food and attentive service. Big range on the menu so something for everybody. We’ve eaten in and ordered ahead for takeout which is about 20 minutes to prep which works for us since usually we order on the way home from Ukiah. Always nice to have new things in Willits

I had the pleasure of dining at “The Bad Habit Grill,” and it was a true taste of Latin American excellence. The menu featured a fantastic array of dishes, each bursting with bold and unique tastes. The friendly staff added to the overall warmth of the experience. If you crave a genuine Latin American culinary journey, The Bad Habit Grill is a must-visit.

Where do I start? Lovely little space with hyper-fresh, well prepared meals with love and skill! My carnitas taco’s would match the best street taco you had that one time. My buddy had the chicken enchiladas and stopped talking for ten whole minutes for fear of not extracting the proper enjoyment of the preparation. The beans were the perfect mix of fat and salt while the, literally, freshly prepared rice was et before the beans properly congealed. Eating to the beat of a nearby Capoera circle added atmosphere to an early evening nosh. I travel through Willits for work every month or so and I’m already contemplating my next visit to this gem.

Was skeptical when walking in completely dead and I didn’t expect Mexican food with the name but I was suprised! The shrimp cocktail was so fresh and perfectly balanced with flavors and the papusas were out of this world last time I had them that good was when I lived with a Guatemalan family as a child!!

Service was great but food was very mid. Went with a group of 7 and all had same thoughts. If you want a bland burrito with 90% rice and beans and 10%meat come here. If you really want Mexican food go across the street to taqueria Maria’s Maria’s has the best Carnitas burrito in the whole town (I’ve tried them all)

Stopped by for lunch, food was excellent had shredded chicken tostada which was amazingly fresh fresh guacamole on top along with a few dabs of sour cream. Also had a p is is pupusa which had Black beans, cheese, and chicharone sliced thinly. Delicious came with the traditional sour slaw and a delicious mild hot sauce. Definitely would recommend this place if you want to dine in or stop by for a quick bite to go.
