If you’re looking for a new local favorite, you absolutely have to check out The B. Hive in Burlington, CT! This place is a total gem. From the moment you walk in, you feel the fun, cool, and hip interior design—it has a vibrant, welcoming vibe that makes you want to settle in for hours, we stayed a bit and ordered more!!!. Plus, there is plenty of seating, so whether you’re meeting friends or need a quiet corner to work, they have you covered.
The staff here friendly and courteous. There is a gift area too, packed with great local finds, including specialty teas, lovely candles, and other items.
The lavender latte was delicious—creamy, perfectly balanced, and wonderfully floral. For food, had the gluten-free options. The pumpkin bread (gluten-free) was moist and flavorful, and the cheddar scone (also gluten-free) was savory perfection.
The avocado toast with fresh tomatoes was beautifully prepared and totally hit the spot. And don’t skip the mini pancakes; they were absolutely delicious and a perfect little treat.
The B. Hive is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a destination for great food, excellent service, and a truly cool atmosphere.
Both my coffee and toast were delicious. I had a hard time picking from the menu and the baristas were so helpful in making my decision. I met Stephanie at another coffee shop and after chatting with her for a bit it became evident how much of her heart and soul she puts both into the business and the baristas so I knew I had to make the roadtrip to visit and it was certainly worth it! If it was any closer I’d go every day (:
The food is incredible. Everything tastes fresh and made with care, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. The coffee is hands down the best; they grind their own beans fresh right there, and you can truly taste the difference in every sip. It is flavorful and has the perfect ratios (which can be hard to find).
The owner is so sweet and clearly passionate about what she does. She even took the time to tell us about her business, how she sources from small local vendors, and how she supports black, queer, and woman-owned businesses. You can tell she really cares about both her craft and her community.
It’s the kind of place you leave feeling happier than when you walked in. Highly recommend!
Owners Stephanie and James have truly poured their hearts into this space, and it shows in every detail.
From the warm welcome to the buzzing vibe—this place is full of love, flavor, and hometown pride.
If you haven’t been yet, go. You’re going to feel the love in every sip. This is the kind of place you’ll want to keep coming back to.
