Visit this area for work , Came in for a pint after getting a Uber here, asked for a pint got asked for a local ID , saying they couldn’t accept passport card or my Irish driving licence. (I’m 27)

Something strange happens in this place. The first time I went there, there was a fight inside the bar. Their opening hours say they are open until 1:00 a.m., but if you don’t belong to the crowd they want inside, they tell you they are closing and don’t let you in.

I went there last week, I had a great time. I sat there and watched the game on a flat screen TV, very relaxing. The bartender Lorie was professional in every way, and makes a good drink. What I did notice was when she wasn’t making a customer a drink, she was cleaning and wiping down objects behind the bar. Lori is amazing! 10/10 on customer service, 10/10 on drinks. There’s a pool table, a dart board & several TVs (so basically anyone has entertainment). Great local bar, super welcoming. Additionally, it was very clean (I had seen another review & was nervous about the restrooms). Lori made a point of having clean glasses & a clean bar. Again, would confidently recommend for a fun night in Dedham!

Went to Auld Sod to play darts. Great group of people both from a staff perspective and the dart players/ patrons. Nice atmosphere and good drinks. Didn’t stay for food so I can’t comment. I would return for any dart tournament they help.

Bartender was extremely rude. She was watching tv and ignored me until she figured out I wasn’t going away. Then she gave me an attitude. Don’t waste your money on going to this dive. Also the woman’s bathroom is absolutely disgusting and the fact that they serve food there is terrifying

Great spot. No frills irish pub thats actually frequently full of irish folks. Pool table, dart tournaments and jukebox.

i love this bar! it is closed mondays and wednesdays and doesn’t open until 6 so it often looks closed…… otherwise it’s a local water hole and a really great one! love the chicken tender basket !
