The bartender was also the cook, which made for an interesting experience — it was actually fun watching her prepare the food right behind the bar. She was friendly, engaging, and attentive with everyone, which really stood out and set a welcoming tone.
We ordered two El Paso burgers, one with fries and one with tater tots, along with a couple of beers. Portion sizes were generous, especially the burgers. That said, the meat itself lacked seasoning and flavor, which was a bit disappointing given how good they looked. The fries and tater tots were just okay — nothing bad, but nothing memorable either.
The atmosphere was cozy and nicely decorated for Christmas, which we appreciated. Overall, this is a solid, casual spot with good service and generous portions — a decent place to grab a quick meal and a drink.
We placed our order and watched Ryan cook up some of the best burgers a few of us have ever ordered. Cooked to perfection with solid flavors and a great taste. I went with the Char burger with Chedder. Fantastic.
Ryan was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and a very good cook. We will definitely be stopping in again.
This place has been on my radar for a while, but I couldn’t come to terms with paying $20+ for a burger unless I was sure it could compete with places like Kuma’s Corner. The reviews looked great and the food seemed delicious but after this experience, I doubt I’d ever go back.
$30 for a burger and soup is wild.
Calling it a “famous” burger is bold. Yes, they make it clear it’s unseasoned and you have to ask for toppings but promoting a plain patty on a bun as a signature item feels ridiculous for $20. Honestly, I’ve had better burgers from fast food chains.
I ordered from here out of convenience because my wife wanted onion soup and my kid wanted a burger. I explicitly asked for a kids cheeseburger off the kids menu and made sure they understood but they gave me a regular one instead. At first I didn’t mind I thought, “cool, leftover burger for me.” But once I opened the box, saw it, and tasted the self-proclaimed “famous” burger, I threw it out and drove to Steak ’n Shake instead.
The soup was okay, but I ordered a bowl and it looked like a cup.
Overhyped and overpriced.
Being a person who loves burgers, I finally got the opportunity to get a few people together to drive out and give this place a try.
I had the swiss mushroom burger and asked for it to be rare medium rare and was told by our server not to worry about the burger being over done because they got it down to a science.
Trusting her I got the burger medium rare and it came a perfect medium rare. Look at my photo.
Yummo. Ill be back for sure.

I tried a taste of their homemade chili.
WOW.
The happy hour is a great time to grab a snack and drink. Especially when you just get back from Nashville. Happy to see a reasonable tab.
Only real complication for me is a local boy kept her in long conversations and it was a bit difficult to get her attention. And she wasn’t the only person behind the bar but you have to take care of your customers and respect the other workers customers.
This used to be a regular stop for.my husband so, glad we made it work.
I had the turkey Ruben. Delicious! With fries that were cooked just the way I like and the coleslaw has horseradish in it (mmmm… yum).
I’d go back. Most definitely. If in the area. Maybe I can get them to add veggie patties.
