We took our kids to the Cheyenne mountain zoo and chose to stay at the Marriott. No one told us the zoo was up hill both ways, but it was beautiful. After deciding we were too tired to go out we had dinner at Ascent. Our server Cameron was fantastic and very polite. We were surprised at the portions and the food was very good. Thank you again Cameron for a great experience. We’ll definitely stay again.

5/28/22- I was at the hotel for the anime con. Their food is way over priced for the size of the food they give you even for a hotel. The best option is their breakfast buffet because you can at least fill like you are full when you leave. The problem with the buffet is that they were really slow on refilling it, like the bacon. Also it was supposed to come with juice but they never refilled the juice dispenser the whole time we were there. There is not a lot of food options near by and they know that they can get away with high prices, small portions, and questionable quality. You’re better off driving off site or having food delivered.

We ate two early dinners and had happy hour drinks. Very reasonably priced compared to other local restaurants.
For the breakfast we shared a few sides which was cheaper than the buffet and was actually filling.

Great breakfast buffet and very popular with locals not staying at hotel which says a lot. Angus burger was chared well and very tasty. Would recommend it. The breakfast had about anything you can think of and green chilli sauce ed relly made it great.

Plenty of space, attentive staff, quick and delicious food, paired with excellent local beer selections made this a great choice for dinner.

Our waitress and the atmosphere were fine, but the actual food was disappointing. My husband and I both ordered the ribeye only to be told they were out. The menu had changed and a t-bone was the new offering, same price with the same sides. Both of our steaks were small, overcooked, and very dry. The sides were okay, but the rice pilaf was undercooked and had a little crunchiness to it. We should have sent our food back, but it was the only red meat offering. We did receive a 30% discount for not being satisfied with the meal, but with that being sad we still overpaid for a subpar meal.

The food took a very long time, and literally nobody was there!

The breakfast and service were excellent. Brenna did a stellar job with service and local recommendations, and the pancakes, omelets, bacon, potatoes and coffee were all great.

Visited for the weekend and enjoyed some cocktails at the bar each night. Brandon and Lance were both very helpful and friendly. Lance suggested adding some cilantro to my jalapeño margarita and Brandon made me a couple great espresso martinis. Love the atmosphere at this bar, great seating options. Easy to lounge here for hours

Food tasted good until I found 4 hairs in my quesadilla. I honestly thought the first 2 were from my dog maybe based on the color and h fact they were sitting on the plate but after pulling 1 out and seeing another strand baked in the cheese, I know it’s from whoever prepared the meal. The servers themselves were nice and I’d drink at the bar again but it’s probably a good idea to make sure your kitchen staff has their hair tied back and isn’t touching it while preparing food. I wouldn’t eat here again.
