Seated by Dominique, she was delightful! And we were served by Mike, who was absolutely one of the nicest and most helpful people we’ve met here in Snowmass.

We were here with a large group for a happy hour. The staff was nice and accommodating. Food left something to be desired. One tray of chicken skewers and a tray of egg rolls doesn’t feed 150 people, even for hors’ douvers. Bar atmosphere was nice. The outside seating area is a great place to hang out by the fire.

Very convenient Hotel restaurant however they are severely understaffed. I arrived at 5 p.m. and had to flag down a waiter what you doing to order before happy hour was over at 5:30 p.m. I also ordered a dinner special that was burger and fries with a glass of wine that was the Monday night special. The happy hour finishes at 5:30 and the dinner starts at 5:30. My check was time in at exactly at 5:30 but the restaurant manager said he cannot not offer both promotions because they happy hour ends at 5:29. I pointed out that I was waiting for half an hour before I could order but he says that’s their policy it’s not ringing the Happy Hour end at dinner promotion at the same time although that is not what the menu says. Great live entertainment tonight and again great atmosphere but extremely poor customer service. Recommended for convenience but not for customer satisfaction.

My husband and I, who have lived here for 45 years, have been through all the stages of the Artisan in Snowmass. I just got two “to gos” of our favorite – the trout. Yum, this is like I cooked it at home only better! Because it has been super bowl and valentines weekend plus doctor’s visits, we have got several to go items this week from different restaurants. This was by far the best, even though other restaurants rate better. The great restaurant we chose in Basalt on Thursday night was – like the sack was empty when we picked it up. There was not much food in the sack at all – no presentation. This sack was full of good nutritious food with great presentation, and I cannot tell you how we appreciated it!

We arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation. We noted that the restaurant was only 1/3 full at most. The receptionist greeting us acted more like we were an imposition rather than a guest and stated they could not seat us. That it would be at least 25 minutes at least.

This was the restaurant for our hotel. I had breakfast here each morning. They had decent variety. It was done well with good service. However, all my coworkers went for dinner one night (six of them) and none of them enjoyed their overpriced dinners. Two in the group ended up sending back their tough steaks.

The service was great, which is why I feel bad leaving only two stars. The food on the other hand was less than mediocre. The wife got the spaghetti and she says mine is better, I am no cook. Again, the service ways great this is nothing on our waitress. I got the steak, again tasted more like airport food than mountain town food.

Not good at all. The spaghetti was below average, tasting like something you’d eat in college. My husband had the pork chops and they were incredibly salty – too salty to eat at all. Unfortunately this was one of the only places open for dinner in September when we came, but there are much better hotel restaurants (Limelight’s is good). Disappointed given the town it’s located in.

Went in for a happy hour drink. It was freezing in the bar. What few people that were there on a Friday all had ski parkas and gloves on. I asked the bartender if the heat was working. He said yes but with the front door opening it was cold. I told him I could not even have the glass of wine I just ordered. Told him to give me the check and that it was too cold to sit here. He could care less. He did care about a tip since he gave me change back in ones.
