We rented out The Archives for a post-wedding reception, and it was perfect for our group of 25. Our guests enjoyed the venue, which provided easy spaces for people to chat in small groups, and the snacks and cocktails were delicious. Our guests particularly appreciated the availability of creative non-alcoholic cocktails, and the service was warm and inviting.

Cool vibe, excellent drinks and knowledgeable mixologists. Perfect place for couples or small groups to relax in a cool atmosphere with cool vibes, good music and great drinks.

I really love a well crafted cocktail, and I particularly love the “hidden” bars. This is both. It is a marvelous surprise. Once we finally found the door, we sat at the bar.
We were there early, so we got a prime sear right by the cocktail mixing station. They have a great list of their own cocktails as well as riffs on classics. They said they can make just about any cocktail, and I believe it. I ordered their riff on a martini, which used gin, vodka, lemon oil, and contratto Bianco vermouth. My colleague ordered a milk punch drink made with old tom gin, green and yellow chartreuse, pear liquor, chamomile, peppermint, and lemongrass. It was perfectly clear, and perfectly delicious!!
In addition to the bar, there are small tables, little alcoves, and all sorts of funky seating areas.
The bartenders are knowledgeable, the atmosphere serene, and cocktails are absolutely first-rate! I give this hidden bar my highest recommendation!

You have to find it but that’s all part of the experience! This speakeasy has carefully curated cocktails in a well-thought out atmosphere. The bartenders were attentive and the cocktails were divine I absolutely recommend coming here if you’re looking for a classy cocktail. The prices are expensive but it’s worth it for the care put into every drink.

I’m usually happy with a 2$ PBR but I was really craving a chocolately type of dessert drink tonight. I told the bartender about this craving that I was trying to honor and he gave me a really yummy but not too sweet chocolate espresso martini. Then when I was done he checked in to ask if it hit the spot- and offered me the only trader joe’s peanut butter cup they had on site how could I say no! and he even put it in a little ramekin. love this spot, what a treasure.

What a great new addition to Amherst! Love the theme of it. Finding the place was fun, and the atmosphere inside is so cozy. Definitely recommend smaller groups, especially during peak times.
Drinks can be a on the pricier side, but reasonable. All of the cocktails I’ve tried were absolutely delicious. They have a small selection of awesome snacks as well.
Staff is really friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Awesome experience. This new bar in Amherst has a really fun atmosphere and excellent drinks. It was an amazing getaway from the typical college bar experience as well. I think this location though is best for groups of 5 (~ish) or less since there is mainly bar seating with the exception of a couple booths and benches available.

Coolest place ever. Curious and interesting cocktails that are always changing so it’s never the same. Great atmosphere. Our little get away when we need a few hours to decompress. Celebrated my husband’s birthday with a drink there when my daughter was visiting.

If you’re looking for an enjoyable experience with wonderful company in an intimate setting then the Archives is the place to be. I tried the Bijou Blanc and it was very strong. The orchard blossom was well made and delicious. This place does get pricey as I am from south Florida and the prices were comparable but for a town like Amherst, it’s overpriced.
