My wife and I had a lovely fish & chips dinner after going to the Cinema.
It came with mushy peas. We had a caraffe of white wine with it, which went down very well. You also get offered water with your meal, which is a bonus. Very popular abroad, but not so common here in the UK. Tasty food and friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable atmosphere. W/C available. Good views out of the windows towards the seafront and pier.

I recently visited The Arcades Restaurant in Worthing and had a really enjoyable experience. I ordered the fish and chips, along with octopus – which I tried for the very first time.
The fish and chips were excellent. But the standout for me, though, was the octopus. Having never tried it before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a real highlight. It was tender, perfectly cooked, and had a subtle, delicate taste. I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to try.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming, and the service matched it – attentive without being intrusive. Overall, The Arcades delivered a great dining experience that balanced classic seaside favorites with something a little more adventurous.
I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Worthing.

Great whole grilled Sea Bass and good plaice and chips. Lovely oatmilk latte. Calamari starter was average at best. However, would go again.

First thing first, the price on the menu at the front of the restaurant is not the same as the inside, I highly recommend the owner to keep it up to date. It’s kind of misleading for customers. However, the food is taste good and staff is friendly, also good portion.

Very good fish & chips, conveniently located on the sea front, next to the pier.
The menu is extensive with lots of different fish and seafood dishes, but we just went for the F&C.
Leave some room for dessert – both the chocolate brownie and tiramisu were excellent!

Wow wow wow!! If you’ve never been to the Arcades restaurant on Worthing seafront you have to go! 5* food and 5* service. A family run business and a huge choice of menu and very reasonable prices! Where can you get a starter for £6 these days?
We had whitebait and calamari starters. For mains we had steak, sea bass and cod and chips. All delicious and huge portions.
The only picture I took was of the steak main
If you’ve not tried this place you must!

Absolutely delightful lunch here on Sunday with my family of 5. Super friendly staff and possibly the cleanest restaurant I have ever visited! And the fish and chips were perfect. The children had burgers and were really happy. Definitely worth a mention are the starters-home made humous, king prawns, halloumi- all delicious! We will be back x

Popped-in and a cod and chips takeaway – the restaurant was busy yet it only took a few minutes to prepare the food. On opening the box at my hotel, eveything had been catered for – wide selection of condiments included, with a slice of lemon (if only all fish & chip establishments did this!) and I can honestly say that it was the best cod & chips I can remember eating – worth coming to Worthing for. The staff were lovely too – not sure if its a family concern but it felt like it – you could feel that patrons in the restaurant were enjoying the ambience and no doubt their food too! Thoroughly recommended.
