Social Profile:

The Arcade Restaurant is Memphis’ oldest dine, family-owned since 1919. Walk in, sit down, and feel right at home. We serve good southern comfort food and breakfast all day in our vintage 1950s diner on South Main Street, directly across from the National Civil Rights Museum. Every egg is cracked fresh by hand every morning. Our menu includes sweet potato pancakes, deep-fried French toast, handmade burgers, daily lunch specials, and a full bar with cocktails and espresso. USA Today ranked us one of the best roadside diners in America. The Food Network, Travel Channel, Wall Street Journal, and Southern Living have all told our story. We have lasted 100+ years because we keep it simple and make every dish with purpose.

Nostalgic diner serving hearty breakfast & lunch fare amid 1950s-style neon signs.

The Arcade Restaurant was recommended to us, so my husband and I decided to go for breakfast and we’re so glad we did! Walking inside felt like stepping back in time. The atmosphere has a cool, old-timey charm that creates just the right amount of comfort and nostalgia. I ordered the French toast, and my husband had the Redneck Eggs. Both dishes were delicious, and the coffee was great too, simple, hot, and exactly what we needed to start the day. We also had amazing service. Our server was incredibly caring and attentive, which made the experience even better. It’s clear they take pride in making guests feel welcome. Overall, The Arcade Restaurant gave us a memorable and cozy breakfast experience. We’d definitely recommend it!

Went here for breakfast. I ordered the French toast, it was over fried. Fried to the point it was crunchy. The turkey sausage was delish, you receive 2 and they are palm of a woman’s hand size. My over medium eggs were a bit over easy and runny. I still ate them. The hashbrowns were undercooked for my liking. Just note if you like them crispy, make sure to tell the waitress. The coffee with liqueur was good. My husband had the sweet potatoe pancakes, with scrambled eggs and regular sausage. We sat at a both known to sit a legend. Right next to the Elvis Presley booth. Our waitress was kind.

Exactly as advertised, busy diner in downtown with lots of charisma, atmosphere and delicious food. They were super busy on a Sunday around 11 and although we were seated immediately food took a little over 30 min. BUT it was well worth the wait. Just got basic stuff, but everything was cooked perfect, hot, and delicious. Very reasonable prices too. Antother must stop in Memphis!

PS – a lIttle “drama” with a customer was handled very well by the staff (I call it free entertainment)

Visited to see “fake” Elvis. Enjoyed every single second. The vibe was phenomenal for “these parts”
Totally worth the hassle of finding parking. There is a parking lot behind the building but it gets full quickly. There is also street parking.
The VIBE, energetic atmosphere that instantly feels welcoming. The colorful decor, upbeat music, and friendly staff create a fun setting whether you’re meeting friends or grabbing a casual dinner. The menu offers flavorful dishes with creative twists, and the presentation matches the lively theme. Service is quick and attentive without feeling rushed.
DONT FORGET THE COFFEES & ice cream

This place has a nostalgic vibe straight out of a Hallmark movie. The food was amazing, and our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. I would absolutely return whenever we’re in the area and highly recommend it for a delicious meal.

Very nostalgic feel to this restaurant, like taking a trip down memory lane. I ordered the fried peanut butter and banana sandwich and avocado toast. The avocado toast was my favorite. It came with feta cheese, red onions, black olives and an order of hash browns. The portion sizes were decent. Service was rather quick and the servers were friendly. Cons: The famous peanut butter and banana sandwich was just that: a peanut butter and banana sandwich, nothing extraordinary. It’s cool that it was a staple for Elvis’ but honestly my son didn’t even finish it and he loves peanut butter sandwiches. We also noticed what appeared to be pieces of avocado on the peanut butter sandwich which wasn’t cool. As for the hash browns, they were good but not hot.
