The best gluten free bakery out there! I moved out of California, but I come back frequently to visit family and every time I come, I have to stop by here. I love that the treats are sweet, but not too sweet and that there is so much to choose from. Also great service. The business owner is always so friendly and kind! It’s hard to find gluten free pastries in Union City so the city is so blessed to have this place.

Not sure how I never saw this store until today when I was across the street at the Post Office. Jill (I believe is the owner) told me she’s been open for 7 months. It’s a cute store that offers ice cream, pastries, and coffee. She was very sweet and helpful, and her cupcakes were very good! I got one of each flavor of cupcake and brought it home to my family. I also tried the mango ice cream. All good. We’ll be visiting more often since it’s good and local!
The Apron & Whisk is also across from Birdhaus and the Saturday morning farmers market. Very convenient!

My husband ordered a custom Toasted Coconut Cake for my birthday and it was amazing! It was moist, flavorful and looked beautiful. They will be our go-to bakery for cakes in the future!

Apron and whisk is a 6 month old small bakeshop and cafe in union city located around smith st. In union city.
It is a walking distance from a park and friendly neighborhood food and drink business like birdhaus garden, hippies brew and toppings to name a few.
I met Jill,the owner and the baker of the pastries ans cupcakes in the shop.She is super friendly and accomodating as she navigates us with her menu ,ingredients in her cupcakes and to add on she is selling Marriane’s ice cream of
santa cruz.
The prices of her product are pretty decent as she has high quality ingredients of her baked goodies.
We will definitely be back again to try her other baked items.

I went here in 7th grade back in 2023 when my family lived in California, now I’m in 9th grade. Last year my family moved and one of the things I miss the most are these cupcakes! Me and my mom would go usually weekly and each week the flavors were delicious, and the owner is super nice. My personal favorite was the red velvet and my mom liked a pineapple one. It’s a super underrated spot and the owner definitely deserves more recognition!

Ordered a red velvet cake for my niece, which she never had a chance to taste because my sister and her mom ended up splitting it. Their review was that it was good, which was why there wasn’t any left for us to try.
On my second visit, I came with my niece and we grabbed a few scoops of the Marianne’s ice cream (which I love).
I am looking forward to them expanding their menu and stopping by more often.

This bakery makes gluten-free cupcakes that are very good! Check out the website and the “better for you“ cupcakes – a little bit less sweet and gluten-free. I had the pistachio chocolate cupcake, chocolate raspberry, and red velvet BFY cupcakes. The GF sponge was fluffy, soft, and moist. The frosting was delicious – especially the pistachio frosting. The flavor was not artificial at all!
The owner was also also very kind and allowed me to pick up when she was closed when I communicated with her.

A true gem for those who are gluten sensitive! From red velvet to Tiramisu, and my favorite crunchy salted caramel with luscious gooey caramel in the middle. OMG! And the cupcakes and the frosting are not overwhelmingly sweet. I have issues eating most other “gluten free or gluten sensitive” desserts but I have faithfully eaten two cupcakes each week (yes, two a week. don’t judge) for the last two months. NO REACTION! Run, don’t walk. You won’t be disappointed!
