When we arrived, we were greeted promptly and taken to our seats. Our jackets were taken for us, which was very thoughtful. The food was good and well prepared, though I felt some of the portion sizes could have been a bit bigger. The service was outstanding, truly exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable.

The food was delicious. I would have loved a bit bigger portions for the starters, but in this setting, food styling is important, so I can’t complain. The steak with the blue cheese sauce was ‘oh my god ‘. The best steak I ever had. Loved it and the portion was great. Unfortunately I couldn’t go for a dessert; next time.
Loved the alcohol free drinks. You can tell that thought and effort has been put to offer decent drinks and not just a mix of juices and syrups. And they are priced so reasonable in my opinion.
The pace of the service was excellent.
It’s definitely a restaurant with high reputation and standards. A place to visit for special occasions.

I have wanted to visit the Anchor Line at Christmas for ages, as it looks so inviting. This was a fantastic first experience. The staff were wonderful, and our night was made by the delightful doorman who was a real gentleman. The food was beautifully presented, of good quality and quantity, and tasted great. The ambience in the restaurant is very festive and the live piano music was a touch of elegance. We had a wonderful visit and I look forward to visiting again soon!

We had lunch here during the week and it was our first visit. We loved the general ambience of the place and staff were very attentive and the service could not be faulted. We had cocktails to start then three courses and the food was excellent and beautifully presented. We will be returning and can thoroughly recommend this place.

Had the most wonderful lunch here for my birthday. We ordered chateaubriand with french fries, salad and macaroni cheese. Chateaubriand was just the most tender and delicious steak ever and I have had quite a few. Ordered medium rare and it was perfect! Everything was cooked to perfection and came very hot. The portion sizes were generous and the service was excellent. Highly recommend and I will return as the food is simply delicious!!!

Beautiful, lively, upscale atmosphere. Attentive but not overbearing service. Our farewell dinner for 2 in Glasgow, we were very happy with our choice. The food and drinks were delicious. I would definitely return. My husband had a steak which he loved. Cooked to perfection. I Good feelings all around.

Had a lovely first visit at The Anchor Line after being recommended. The team were all very friendly and attentive, service was quick, and the food and drinks were tasty! Had the four course and a cocktail deal from Itison – great for a Saturday lunch. Would definitely return for food and drinks.

1st visit to anchorline for a special occasion. Nice setting , staff were excellent. Decent range on the menu. Soup was superb as were the main courses. Prices in keeping with a posh city centre venue. £130 for 2 people with 2 courses and a couple of drinks
