Read the good reviews and decided to give this a try. Ordered the the meatball sandwich on Dutch crunch roll. Unfortunately, they microwaved the sandwich, I guess to heat up the meatballs. Well, the Dutch crunch was not crunchy anymore, instead was soft and chewy, totally destroyed the texture and flavors. Very disappointed!

Ordered the chicken salad sandwich, the giant pickle, and the macaroni salad. I thought all were delicious. I got the toasted bread with the crunch top. I ordered delivery so I further toasted it in the over (400 degrees for 10 more minutes) and it was delicious! I like the extra crunch.

I got the Godfather on dutch crunch. It was not crunchy and had maybe three slices of meat. Totally dry and not worth the money.

My order was swapped with another which was also incorrectly made resulting in the worst sandwich I’ve ever had to pay for. Staff seemed friendly and has a good base of regulars so I chalk my poor experience to just bad luck but won’t be coming back. Menu looks great for their cold cut sandwiches but I would definitely avoid the weekly specials (they’re all microwaved).

Best Sandwich in Bay Area. This hidden gem in heart of los altos downtown is a must try. ALL sandwiches are outstanding because ingredients are mindfully selected or made in house. They have unique options for chips: dijon mustard, pepperoncini, etc. LOVE the soup on weekends.
