Very unique cocktail lounge. I enjoy the steampunk aesthetics; I wish the aesthetic carried over to the patio. Either way, it’s a charming 2nd story patio, and very enjoyable on a nice day. I also spotted a couple heaters, so it’s good to know they have those. Our waitress was fun and helpful. Prices were in-line with similar establishments. I was a tad worried about finding a cocktail I’d enjoy, as most of the cocktails seemed to have at least one ingredient that gave me pause. But all the drinks were well crafted. I especially enjoyed the two I chose: Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and the Rye Knot. Also, I sipped a taste of a friend’s cocktail, the Smooth Criminal, and it was a good rift on an old fashioned. The space is nice, and the town is charming. I’d recommend this place for the adventurous.

Excellent theme for a bar (steam punk ), really felt like I step out of this world for a minute and just enjoyed nice cocktails , if you wan a nice sweet but burbony drink highly recommend the tuki tiki absolutely delicious reminds of a pina colada almost .

Interesting place for sure. The old fashioned was very smooth and delicious. The charcuterie board was presented well and very tasty. The atmosphere was great and our waitress Samie did a great job! My one complaint is the prices were higher than they should be.

If I could give service more than 5 stars I would, I took a friend out for her 21st here and it was beyond any expectations I could’ve had. We were sat outside on a beautiful day in their garden, staff went above and beyond even turning on the garden lights when they noticed us getting her birthday pictures. Staff additional remembered each of us by name after only one introduction, to say the least I will definitely be back.

Stopped in here for a drink after having dinner downtown WBL. A very unique and cool spot. Lots of interesting decor. It was not very busy. We sat at the bar and the service was ok. My wife got two different drinks and she was not a huge fan of either of them… I had a beer, which is very consistent . Overall, worth a shot if you’re looking for some unique cocktails and a weird atmosphere.

This place is so cool! I love steampunk everything and this bar is it! Amazing decor and my drink was truly memorable. It was the COATLICUE. (don’t ask me to pronounce it). But I loved it and would go back for sure.

Awesome atmosphere, decor and service. Had a party of 10 and they accommodated and served us drinks well. A little more on the expensive side for drinks, but I love the machinery based decor. Even the bathroom is decorated. Any gearhead, mechanic or antique type of person would love this bar

Julie is fantastic. We had an amazing time talking with her about her craft. Her drinks are incredible and second to none in the cities. Highly recommend and will be back many times in the future.

Absolute best craft cocktails in the twin cities and surrounding areas. We’ve tried many places but keep coming back to The Alchemist where Julie makes from scratch ginger beers, tinctures, orgeat, all of it. Her and Zane can make incredible creations that are more experiences than they are beverages.

The atmosphere was amazing, we ordered the charcuterie board so we can’t judge the food. The main part of the establishment looked really cool, However the put us in a table all by ourselves in a back stairway. When it was time to order our drinks most of the drinks that were one the menu were made with gin and unfortunately I do not like gin. So when I asked if I could substitute out gin for vodka, I was told they wouldn’t do substitutions because the bartender who created the menu was an artist and it would hurt her feelings. So instead of having the one vodka drink on the menu due to it being a spicy drink, I ended up having ginger beer. Two drinks and a Charcuterie board was about $50.
