Had a great meal tonight for my daughter‘s birthday. She got the filet and I got the grilled grouper (without blackening) and it was great and she loved her steak. Beautiful night to sit out behind the deck in the garden area.

My wife and I had wanted to go 406 and our anniversary seemed like a good time to try it out. The food and service was fantastic.
I had the wagyu ribeye that was cooked perfectly with the cauliflower casserole and cream spinach. Both of them were very tasty. My wife had the scallops with cheese grits and asparagus. The scallops were again cooked perfectly with great taste. The grits and asparagus were fantastic.
After dinner we went out back to the bar and patio area. Again the service was great. The area was very inviting and relaxing. The live music was great.
In closing we certainly plan on going back (already made made reservations for the weekend with our neighbors) and encourage everyone to give The 406 a try.
We went back with our friends Saturday evening and had a spectacular evening.
We sat in the bar while we were waiting for our friends to arrive. The bar service was great.
Rebecca was our server Wednesday and we asked for her again. She was fantastic!
We had the Crab Cakes and the Salmon for dinner tonight. Both were very tasty.
We shared the Bread pudding for dessert and I have to say the four of us agreed it was the best Bread pudding we have ever had.
We all sat out back after dinner. The music was great as well as the service. Just an outstanding evening.
I really appreciate having a nice place to have great food, and service here in Suwannee County.

The wagyu ribeye was beyond excellent. Cooked perfectly and needed no A1 or Worcestershire sauce. Grouper blackened was also great. Conch fritter were perfect. Desert was great as well. Service was something you would expect at somewhere like capital grill or mortons.
We plan on coming back.

Our past night in town and was recommended to stop in for a visit and we were not disappointed. Had the pleasure of sitting with Kelli last night and she was AMAZING. She recommended the Paper Plane cocktail and it was soooo good! Had the Mac n cheese egg rolls which were out of this world along with the Alfredo and key lime pie! All the food was amazing but the live entertainment and the company of Kelli taking care of us we will DEFINITELY return and come see Kelli. Thank you and will see you again!

The 406 was beautiful inside and out. The place I must say is a 4 true to the area and without a doubt charming!
Unfortunately, the service and food fell short. We ordered the Crab bisque, Sea Bass, Charbroiled Ribeye and Grouper. The Crab Bisque was lumpy chewy and felt canned. I swear they don’t know what a bisque means. The waitress never offered salt or pepper I had to go find it. The crab bisque isn’t worth the money. Trust me it was like a slop. Moving on my Sea Bass was no larger than a chicken nugget zero taste. I think they unfroze it. Supposed to be over orzo and a beuer blanc sauce that was not existent. The grouper had a frozen taste to it as well. The steak wasn’t charbroiled and had zero flavor. Overall the food was super subpar for a place with those prices.
Moving on our waitress seemed to be lost not attention to detail not caring to offer salt pepper and not even bread! I don’t know about you but if I’m paying for steak sea bass and grouper a basket of bread would be nice! She seemed lost and honestly not worth the 40.00 tip I gave her.
Finally, don’t buy into the looks this is a burger joint that decided to throw in what they consider high end quality choices with a no hitter meal. Stay away order the burger fries cocktails listen to the music in a restaurant with heritage. Oh forgot to mention men’s bathroom second floor bc of renovation which is fine but the kitchen staff uses as well. One was taking a big turd didn’t even wash his hands it really threw me off! This place at best rated 2 out of 5!

Great atmosphere in historic house. Very attentive staff and professional. Pleasant music, cool, and comfortable.
Enjoyed the crab cake appetizer, lobster bisque soup, and scallops with cheese grits and creamed spinach. Tasted my husband’s salmon and it was very good as well.

We had a fantastic bartender tonight named Kelly. She recommended the salmon and OMG was it delicious! I typically don’t go for a seafood dish but she convinced me to try it and WOW. Super fresh and the flavor was spot on. I also tried one of the smoked drinks she suggested. It paired well with the salmon and the drink tasted amazing . My family and I have been visiting the 406 almost every weekend over the last couple of months. We love to sit outside on the patio in the evenings because the atmosphere is 10/10. We have always been well taken care of by the staff, especially Curt and any of the girls working the bar or patio. We’ve celebrated birthdays and they’ve even kept our cake in the fridge for us and offered to cut and plate the dessert. The appetizers and drinks are always top notch. We’ve had many delicious entrees, our favorites being the handmade gnocchi, the burger, the 406 chicken sandwich, and any steak on the menu. The Alfredo and the salads are also delicious. Even if service has ever been slower due to them being extremely busy, we are always well taken care of and are never in a rush because there’s usually a pleasant atmosphere of either live music or trivia night (Thursdays) to enjoy. We usually make reservations or arrive at a time when there is no wait to be seated. This is our favorite place to eat in Live Oak as there is truly no better place in town.

I brought my family to have dinner after hearing rave reviews about this establishment. It was a total disappointment, all our entrees came out at different times, mine was last at 30 minutes after, and it was the wrong entree and the pork chop was way undercooked, I told the server and she apologized several times and asked if I wanted the correct entree, but by this time it was 9 PM, The appetizers were good and so were the old fashions but the Mac and cheese on the kids menu was more like cheese soup. I asked to speak with the manager, a young lady, and I expressed my disappointment and told her what had happened, she removed my entree but offered nothing for the inconvenience and terrible service. I did still tip 20% because the servers were working hard but no offer of a drink or dessert was made. On behalf of the management.
