Yes, it does taste as good as it looks. The prices are as misleading as the location. Very affordable, cooked as if it were gourmet (in Fox River Grove?). Taste is excellent. Seems like the resteraunt fills a nice void after Villa Blue closed. Highly recommend giving it a try. When I left, I honestly felt that this was the type of obscure resteraunt that motivated the Michelin star ranking system. I give them their 1st Michelin star.

I saw the menu recently and I immediately wanted to try this place. I came yesterday for lunch with my mother and it was SO good. We had a wonderful visit together. I’m still thinking about how crazy good my Philly panini with cream of mushroom soup with thyme and a hint of garlic was and my moms Ahi tuna. Wow! Alex is great. I would recommend this place for outstanding food quality, a nice relaxing atmosphere, comfy chairs. It would be a good place for a family to go for lunch or dinner, company party, a date, catching up with a good friend etc. I will say this as well, if you are from FRG you know that a handful of the bars are total dives. This is not. If I go anywhere it will be here.

Great cozy bar in Fox River Grove! Cindy behind the bar was amazing! She helped me with deciding what to order from their menu. However, the food was not a hole-in-the wall type of food, but was excellent restaurant quality with great presentation and the prices were reasonable. Will most definitely recommend and return to this establishment.
