First time visiting here, it will be on my return list as it’s a Great find.
Five of us ate there with 5 wildly varied orders … and EVERYTHING was great from the speciality salads on up. I haven’t had a good Loaded Potato in ages, and it practically filled the plate. I also got a small cup of Brunswick Stew and we shared a plate of Sweet Potato Tots that were good enough to be a main dish.
To say we were happy is an understatement, but what made it even better was our waitress. Even with her “expecting”, you could never get better service anywhere.
This is definitely a place I will return to when I’m in the area again.

Looking for a good barbecue place? Look no further! Great flavor, big portions, amazing beef brisket! You know its a good place to eat when the place is renovating to accommodate how busy it is! Parking lot was full, yet we were quickly seated, quickly waited on, and the food came out fast too! Everything we ordered tasted amazing, full of flavor, tender.. ribs fell off the bone, the brisket had great seasoning.. I cannot emphasize enough that this is worth the stop! Emma was a wonderful server!

The food is good. Not anything special or write home about but pretty good. My son and I ordered double burgers because they have very unique burger creations. I don’t suggest doubling the patties because they use a lower form of ground meat. Probably the ground meat that comes in the tube and not freshly ground. And also I didn’t taste any barbecue or grill flavor on the burgers as if they were steamed. I didn’t even tell if they were cooked on a flat top. No sear on the burger patties. But the overall flavor is good. Not bad at all. The banana pudding is good. Same, give it about a 7 out of 10. my son and I noticed lack of bananas but I kind of like it like that. But it was a lot of cream more than bananas. Maybe some more wafers or something, idk… But I just tasted more cream than banana. Still good though.

Ordering was simple online for pick up. Good atmosphere, the young lady did not have any help and was getting pulled in different direcrions but still kept a sweet attitude. The hamburger steak is huge and taste good, my sides of onions and fries was too soggy due to the condensation from the to go box. The fried pickles was still good. If I had ordered as dine in I have no doubt that everything would have been great and 5 star.

We stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. There are both tables and booths, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.
We split the platter, which was a generous portion — plenty of food with leftovers to take home! Everything tasted good, though I wasn’t a big fan of the cheesecake since it had a bit of a frozen taste.
There’s plenty of parking, and the location is convenient, just near downtown Calhoun.

First time going. Always heard great things. They really do live up to a higher standard of food AND service. Definitely my new favorite place. Staff are amazing! Respectful and sweet. And Fast!! Food is truly Southern cuisine at its best. Got the Fried Green Tomatoes, plain and loaded (bacon and feta toppings) Going back for the loaded! So delicious! Recommend getting extra for next day snack!!

Delicious! Server was great. Waited about 15mins for a table. The brisket unfortunately tasted like roast beef, the Mac and cheese was gritty. That being said everything else ordered was superb! Highly recommend

Want to honestly share my experience here but one bad experience doesn’t necessarily reflect the restaurant in whole hopefully. I live in Calhoun and was referred here by a friend. Me and my wife walked in. The attendant stood behind the counter and said “Just two”? “You can sit over there” which was in the far corner of the restaurant. One side of the restaurant (Near the door) had open tables but we were directed (not escorted) to the other side of the restaurant, which was empty. Completely empty no exaggeration. I thought oh wow. But just pushed that to the side to sit and enjoy a meal with my wife. The waiter came over. My wife told him it was our first time. It would have been nice for him to explain the menu. So we ordered and the food came within ten minutes. I thought wow thats fast. The food was lukewarm, some items even smelled old as if they were in the refrigerator for some time then warmed up. The waiter only came to our table to take our order and to bring the bill. Je constantly went behind the counter to drink soda and talk amongst the other host. We were there a total of 30 min and could not even finish our food. Will not be back. Maybe you can give it a try and your experience is better. But for me and my wife, no. She was upset but held her composure very good.
