The breakfast burrito i got, bacon eggs cheese and fries was delicious but it was mostly tortilla (see pics), like use smaller tortillas if that’s the size you’re making. And it wasn’t busy at all. I really liked the ingredients but was still hungry after eating the entire thing.

Great salsa bar with 4 choices which all were delicious.

The flattop is in the center of the kitchen so you get a great view of how they make their food which was very cool. Nice seating area that feels separated enough for a dining experience.

The menu was stacked with options and they all sounded delicious. Very reasonable prices too.

Maybe I just got the gringo size, so I’ll have to try again and update if it’s different.

Good Mexican fast food restaurant in Escondido with friendly service. You order at the front counter and they bring the food to your table. We tried both the Carne Asada and Pollo Asado fajitas and both were good and reasonably priced at $17. Nothing fancy but great if you want quick Mexican food.

First time here. Will be returning. They have Pre-Covid sized burritos. I was a little hesitant paying $16 for a burrito but so worth it. It has the flavor, texture and generous meat portions. The salsa actually compliments the burrito (not overwhelming). Staff was very friendly and it’s a clean environment.

Don’t skip on the fish burrito, it’s phenomenal.
Staff was very friendly and the place had a great vibe, this is my second time visiting for these fish burritos and I’ll keep coming back, haha. I can’t believe I finished that whole thing, but I just couldn’t stop eating it with the salsas.

We’ll be coming here more often. The food is great. Our family tried the adobada tacos- outstanding, as well as the chicken enchiladas, bean burrito, and breakfast burrito. Everything DELICIOUS. The staff is outstanding; everyone pleasant, polite, busy and engaged. An adjoining dining area next to the front counter has been improved and the atmosphere is so beautiful and relaxing! Fresh flowers on every table. Gorgeous colors and art.We LOVED our food and our experience.

WOW I can’t believe how good this place is. First impression was outstanding service… from Emily behind the counter. From there it just got better. I have been eating “Flying Saucer’s” 31 years at a competitor in Leucadia…. and I judge all Flying Saucer’s against theirs. This American aberration is a Tostada … crispy fried flour Tortilla, topped with Re-Fried beans, lots of tasty beef or chicken, Lettuce, guacamole, pico de gallo, and shredded cheese.

This one is GREAT… as good as my 31 yr old standard… different flavor (excellent) profile due to seasoning and marinades but every bit as good as the best.

Wife said chicken tacos were great too.

The photo I submitted is the “Flying Saucer”… minus two bites… it just looked to good not to dig into.

The facility is clean… very clean. The prices are fair. The Food is fantastic based on our small sample so far. Emily told me to try the Beef Tacos next time and I will for sure. Looking forward to eating my way through the menu and my new favorite “That Mexican Place”

Beef Flying Saucer… truly outstanding.
UPDATE: 8/11/23… Had the best Chicken Enchiladas I have ever had here today
UPDATE: 8/28/23… Ate here twice last week. Had “Chili Verde” on Thursday… Had “Huevos Rancheros” on Saturday. Both were outstanding… we absolutely love everything about this place.
UPDATE: 1/21/24… Wow… so disappointed today. Ordered Bacon Wrapped Shrimp “Cameron’s Costa Azul” the most expensive item on the Menu. It was pre-prepared “Fozen Bacon Wrapped Shrimp” fried nicely… no sauce… served over Spanish Rice with Beans. Not authentic… served with “Ranch dressing”… I am so bummed. Just lowered my rating. Hell… I didn’t even take a photo 🙂

This is a nice little hole in the wall spot! I had the chicken enchiladas, and my girlfriend had the fajitas. Both were really good (and way better than what we can find back in our home state of Florida)! I know southern Cali has a lot of great Mexican spots, and this one did not disappoint!

Burritos are good but the fries are undercooked. Additionally i have tried the hard shell beef tacos and rolled tacos a few times and they are always soggy. They are really bad at operating a fryer. If you stick to a regular burrito it’s not bad at all.

Great food, super clean, and excellent service. The servers were very attentive and kept asking if we needed anything. Great value for the amount of food we got! We were unable to eat everything because it was a lot. But we did eat most of it. My husband ordered the machaca and I ordered the green chilaquiles. They were super good and crunchy. I love that they use queso fresco. It makes a big difference. The beans were delicious, too. I asked my husband if he would return and he definitely agrees that he will return if in the area. For those that don’t know, machaca is a mix of shredded beef, onions, other vegetables and eggs. It’s my husband’s favorite. He orders it wherever he goes. He wasn’t disappointed because he gobbled it up! I really liked the name of the place “That Mexican Place”. Coming from a Mexican it’s kind of hilarious. Good name!

The food here is amazing! Very freshly made and still really got when it came out to us! Sat outside and it was very nice! Only negatives are: can’t eat inside and no refills. Besides that I definitely recommend!!
