We had the sun-dried beef for appetizer, drunken noodles and red curry for dinner,
Sticky Rice egg Custard for dessert. They were all definitely worth going back to Thai Zapo. The flavor of each one was on point, the prices are perfect, the service is exceptional and the decorations were also nice Thai frames. There was a lot of seating available when we arrived.

We eat here at least once a month and we love their food. I always start with the golden tofu. My main meal is the Chicken Panang Curry and it’s always delicious. My husband usually tries one of their weekly specials and they are always very good!

The food and service were great. The drunken noodles and duck curry were both really good. Food prices were very reasonable but in line with portion size. Definitely plan on going back.

We had a great experience here – they have delicious food, a great ambience and exceptionally friendly staff. They have a good variety of options for all different dietary preferences. I wish we would live closer so we could come here more often! We will definitely be back if we are in the area.

I really want to give this 2 stars. I will give it 3 because the prices are reasonable and if you have never had Thai food then this is probably good. Like most things if you have never had a comparative or better or authentic, then you think what you get is really good. I love Thai and get it all over and have had it in Thailand as well. I ordered a few staples – Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Basil Fried Rice, Curry Puff (veggie) and Gyoza (veggie). What was good were the Gyoza which are pretty hard to mess up and easy to make, as long as fried (as these were) vs the steamed ones. The Curry Puffs were not good – WAY too much curry seasoning (which I love) and I could not even taste the ingredients at all. And they were also very small in size compared to all others I have had. Now the main dishes. Basil fried rice – This I have never been disappointed with, but here I was. I could not even taste the basil nor saw much if any…..it was really fried rice basically. And it had a lot of sugar in it as well, sugar is traditional but maybe because other components were missing, the sugar taste stood out vs enhancing. The Shrimp Pad Thai is my wife’s favorite but here it was horrendous. First off, the eggs were not even scrambled in with the dish. Imagine getting fried rice and them simply put an egg on top vs mixed in…this can be done but I have never had it (makes more work for me as the customer). Secondly the noodles were pretty much white which was a sign that there was little or no traditional sauce mixed into it and was obviously some serious Americanized version. My wife didn’t even want to eat it because it was so bland. Lastly, was my typical favorite of Drunken Noodles. I am not sure what was wrong with it but it lacked the typical seasonings or in its correct ratio. Normally I would eat all of this but I was content at eating 1/8th of the dish simply because this was not good drunken noodles. If you want something not too expensive then I guess this is good, but if you want some real Thai, id venture elsewhere.

We like the curries and pad kee mao here. I like to order mine “Thai spice” and always found they make it hot enough for me while still making sure the flavor of each dish shines through the heat.

I really wanted to like this place… The staff are extremely friendly, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside. I tried two different dishes on two different occasions and I have the same thought for both… Everything is so…. Sweet. I got coconut curry, which I expected to have a hint of sweetness from the coconut, but it tasted more like a sweet drink than curry. I also got the pad Thai, which again, I expected a hint of sweetness from the lime, but it tasted like sugary lime noodles. I got the Thai iced coffee, again, SO SO SWEET.
A spring roll comes with the lunch portion and I really enjoyed those! I like a little extra pepper on the cabbage so I give those 5 stars.
Unfortunately, I will be sticking with EZ Thai in Prince Frederick when I get the craving for Thai food…
Lastly, I know a lot of other people who like it, which is why I tried it, so give it a shot and maybe you will too. It was just not for me.

I’d give it a 4.5 if I could. The spring rolls and calamari were tasty. The spring rolls were served blazing hot and crispy crunchy. Not only at all. The calamari surpassed all others I’ve ever had and for $8 how can you beat it? They were lightly coated and not over seasoned. The happy hour drink specials were great. $2.50 for an ice cold beer ain’t bad. Every day from 3-7. Umm yes please. The beef pad thai was blazing hot when it came to the table. Even after waiting awhile to start it maintained its heat. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case for the hubsters chicken panang. That aside he really liked the spice level and flavor. To boot we both had leftovers. I finished my meal with a $3 thai iced tea. I’ll be back here for sure.

I was on the way to the Solomon’s Island from DC and I searched for a place to eat and this place came up. We felt so lucky to have found this awesome place. This restaurant is conveniently located at a small shopping area. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly! The food was awesome and they even gave us a free appetizer. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant! Thanks for the great food and service!
