My daughter ordered the Tamarind Duck with rice. I’m not usually into duck, but it was surprisingly good — and she loved it! She also tried Thai milk tea for the first time and couldn’t get enough. When she didn’t finish it, the kind man helping us offered to put it in a to-go cup — such a thoughtful gesture.
The service was warm and welcoming from the second we walked in. Definitely a Thai spot I’d recommend, and we’ll absolutely be back!
Server was friendly and quick, always kept our waters full, and he was knowledgeable about what could be made vegan or not.
Sadly the papaya salad can’t be made vegan, but we had plenty of other options. Portions were huge; we both ended up packing up leftovers of our noodles.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to coming back! Next time we’ll remember to save room for dessert
My typical go-to’s are Somtum Der and Pranakhon – if you like those, you’ll love this place. Drunken noodles were the best I’ve had anywhere in the city – and I’ve tried many.
I don’t usually write reviews, but this place deserves it. Can’t wait to come here with a bunch of friends so we can try the entire menu.
the food was unfortunately underseasoned, undercooked, and slathered in oil. my drunken noodles taste mostly of bell peppers, and the noodles are pale like barely seasoned. my partner and i got the same dish with same spiciness, but they tasted different and had different spice levels.
i expected the lunch special soup to be tom yum like other places, but it was basically chicken soup out of the can with some veggies. the thai iced tea was a nice size but it tasted mostly of cream/milk, not tea.
The Thai tea was perfectly balanced not overly sweet and a lovely addition to the meal.
The Spice Dusted Calamari had a very light breading that was seasoned well and skillfully fried. The sweet chili sauce and squeeze of fresh lime over the calamari made the dish sing!!
The Thai Basil fried rice was delightfully smoky and full of flavor. The crispy duck was the star of the meal. Duck is my favorite protein and I’ve had it often. After much thought and comparison, I am ready to call it the best duck I’ve had. It was so moist and the skin was so crispy it shattered. The flawless excision of that duck was the perfect end to my NYC trip. I can’t wait to return here for another duck meal!
Finally, The delightful waitress is a skilled multitasker. She simultaneously took of everyone in the restaurant with care and attention, handled all those coming in for takeout all while making the above mentioned drinks for each table.
