Amazing little spot. Not as flashy or over the top as Nicky’s Thai, but still has all of the flavor. This location is super cozy and the vibes are warm and intimate. I got the pad thai which was, of course, amazing. My wife’s fried eggplant dish was even better. Can’t wait to go back.

We went there on a snowy night and we’re the only customers here. The food was top notch and it was my wife’s trying Thai food. I had the spicy chicken lo mein at a level 2 heat and glad I only got level 2. Everything was wonderful, tasty and you get a lot to eat. This is a local business too so please do yourself a favor and go here when you can. I highly recommend it here.

I have been to the Bellevue location which is great and this was my first time at this one. We had a large group (called earlier in the week) and they accommodated us very well. They are BYOB which is nice . The roasted pork noodle soup is delectable!!!!

Best thai food in the city! Their roasted duck noodle soup is delicious and we also got their massaman curry. Best flavor of any thai place we’ve been to (and we have tried 3 other places in PGH) Excellent service as well. Ambience is cozy but still suitable for a date night 🙂

Love this Thai restaurant!! I get Thai food from all over the world. Even when I was in Thailand. This place has some of the best Drunken Noodle (Pad Kee Mao) you will find and the staff is so friendly! They always give ample portions and it was brought out so nicely! Highly recommend here!

I ordered take out on a Friday night. I only saw the front area, as that is where I ordered, and sat. There was ample seating to wait on. I ordered two orders of Pad See-Ew, with both as a 3 on a 1-5 spicy option. My order was quickly prepared, well under the original estimate on wait time. They both also came with a small spring roll. The noodles were different to me as I had not had this dish before. They are a very wide and slightly thick noodle, with a soft chewy texture. My wife and I both generally enjoy spicy food, but this being a 3 was too spicy for her, though I was OK with it. It was definitely spicy, and at times could get the sinuses clear and some watering of the eyes. Past the spicyness I found the food to have a very good flavor and I enjoyed it. I would order again, though next time I would probably order it as a 2 for spicy. My wife on the other hand would order something else as she has issues with texture, and did not like the texture of the noodles.

The ambiance and interior design are colorful, unique and cozy.
The duck curry was absolutely delicious, with a great blend of flavors between the pineapple, red coconut curry, and the crispy duck.
They had some unique menu options and everything we ordered was good.
We went Valentine’s Day weekend and they had nice music and flowers for the table, which was a nice touch.
Highly recommended!

Standard American Thai. Crab Rangoons filling was a different color but still good. Summer rolls were good. Crispy Duck pad Thai was average maybe I was expecting more from the dish. Orange chicken tasted of ketchup not sure why perhaps my taste buds were off. My son said the side of fried rice was average. I will visit again. Sort of pricey but that’s the norm these days. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Thai Tamarind is a delightful Thai place in Shaler. They have lovely dining spaces inside and out. The food is amazing! I got one of the chef specials for dinner which was delicious. It was a weeknight so it was a more quiet atmosphere where you could talk and enjoy the company around you. Service is always top notch. They have a parking lot. There are stairs to access the indoor dining space just for accessibility knowledge. Check it out!
