I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while due to the amount of positive reviews. I was greeted by a very friendly employee when I walked in to place my order. The food came out in a timely manner and it was fresh and smelt amazing. Like previous reviewers said, they give generous portions. The drunken noodles were requested to be very spicy and they did not disappoint. The restaurant even gave us a free meal by surprise! I will likely return to order and this will be my go-to Thai spot. Overall, the food was filling and flavorful.

I tried the Thai Shangri-La “on the go” the new service from one of my favorite restaurants. The food was delivered to my door in a sturdy box with the food on ice. The food was absolutely delicious and everything I had was super fresh and TASTY! The portions were much larger then I thought and I was personally able to get 2 meals out of each. I had Breakfast: Loaded Omelet (came with syrup) and Lunch/Dinner Potato Masaman Chicken (came with white rice). Again everything was super tasty and reheated in microwave was perfect. Drinks I has were a Matcha and Taro milk tea with bubbles… lots of bubbles! Refreshing! So glad to finally have a good bubble tea place nearby. Can’t wait to try more things on the menu!

Thai Shangri-La has consistently been a restaurant in Old Bridge that continues to deliver exceptional food and safe service.
Last night we ordered for 8, the golden triangle appetizer, chicken pad thai, chicken tom yum soup, crab fried rice, chicken pad z u, red curry shrimp, and chicken pad cashew nuts. Aside from everything tasting delicious, the safe, prompt service was optimal.
I placed my order online prior to opening (5pm on Fridays), requested an exact delivery time and asked the food to be left on my porch table for total contactless delivery. Considering we had a few special instructions for the cooking of the food due to allergies and preferences, the food arrived precisely on time and all directions (food and delivery) were adhered to perfectly. The food was even delivered in double bags. First brown paper bags and then in an insulated bag, sealed tightly for protection and warmth. We order take out often from many places in and out of town and I’ve never seen such a thing. Smart, pretty darn cool and considerate, if you ask me! I am assuming they protected the food from travel and weather since I had requested for my food to be left outside.
Either way, my overall experience with Thai Shangri-La keeps exceeding my expectations. They are fantastic!!

Food is good. Just one very big FYI. The restaurant hours are till 9 pm. But if you come after 8:30 they won’t let you dine in, only take out. Which is very odd and not acceptable. They should post their hours as 8:30 if they don’t have dine in open past that. We drove from far and upon request were allowed to sit in and had to order whole order right away.

Unfortunately, it looks like they are not re-opening (I hope I’m wrong).
Before, I could go on their website and see a “coming soon” message that gave me hope they’d really be back.
Now – the website appears to be taken down which leads me to believe they’ve changed plans.
If the owners read this – I hope you return because you made the best Thai food we’ve ever had and you are missed by the entire community.

Update: ANOTHER Year another birthday and they did not disappoint. I got so many compliments on the food (which I expected lol) I will always recommend this place and everyone who works there is so friendly. I will 100% be making a larger order from here every year! Thank you again

I will warn that the spicy is very very spicy any I love spicy food (I use scotch bonnets a lot) but definitely a little too spicy for me so remember that when you order. A must try. The indoor is currently closed (but I don’t mind at all, better safe than sorry) and you pick your food at the front door!

My PERSONSAL opinion I think they are the best Thai food in the area. We order usually about 1x per week and the food is always excellent, delicious and always consistent with flavor. The customer service I cannot say enough about. Literally out of the 30+ times we have ordered from here we had one small issue within irregular portion size. We called and were not looking for any type of refund we just wanted to ask them About it bc it’s not the usually portion size we were use to. They asked us if we wanted a refund we said no, the food was delicious and we always order and are always happy. They still refunded us anyway and literally on our next order about a week or two later they gave us an additional order of the same noodles we love from the previous order that the portion was off. We did not ask for anything I ordered online like always and we got our additional noodles on them. Which again was super unexpected and super sweet of them. They are always so sweet when we call in an order to go. I HIGHLY recommend them for Thai! Delicious always customer service excellent. They are literally my go to ALWAYS!

Delicious food and great service!! The owners are so friendly and welcoming!! So professional because one time our order was not right and they refunded us without even asking!! Definitely recommend this place it’s out go to for thai food. We have tried the fried rice and Drunken noodles and spaghetti with seafood, beef and tofu, everything was delicious.

We’ve been going to Thai Shangri-la since the restaurant opened back in the early 2000s. I’ve NEVER had a bad meal there. Additionally, what impresses me so much about them is the consistency in which everything is so excellent and how there are rarely ever, if any inconsistencies in flavor over time. Either it’s the same cooking staff for almost 15years or they stick to their recipes and train new staff accordingly. You will not have a bad meal. Period.
