I had dinner at this spot for a meeting with 8 people. It had that old movie vibe going, with authentic decor everywhere your eyes can look, but situated in a short strip off the road! The wait staff were very quiet and somewhat timid as they took our orders and delivered our food and drinks. The food was delicious! I had the shrimp pad thai, and my husband had the beef pepper steak. When our glasses were half empty, one of the workers would show up and ask if we wanted refills. That was good because who wants to keep calling someone over for refills?! The only negative that happened was when we arrived to meet the rest of the group, they were told they could not put the two tables together. The entire restaurant was empty except I believe one couple in one of the corners. When we asked again, they agreed to let us join the two tables (we put them back afterward). That was weird. It would have made sense if the place was jam-packed!! Anyway, outside of that, I would recommend it. You won’t be disappointed with anything you order here!

I’m really surprised not to see this placed packed for Saturday lunch. The food is good, prices even better, and the service is excellent. Portions are huge!

95/5 the Thai meets finicky American foot traffic, just outside of New Orleans, atmosphere and food will offer a pleasant respite and acceptable things to eat and photograph. The jewel on this peppery piece is the staff. They are attentive, engaging and pleasant. If you are “that side” of the “bank” swoop in before you “cross over”!

Absolutely will return.
Stuffed chicken wings were amazing. They were so flavorful. Drunken noodles were very good, I had to get take out boxes and could not finish my meal.
My friend had the cashew nut chicken
Was very tasty.
Reasonably priced, large delicious portions. Very pleasant staff.

Underwhelming at best. It makes me shake my head in wonderment. Years ago, a woman named Toy ran the place and the food was flavorful, spicy, festive. Not the same. Chicken Pad Thai portion has hardly any chicken, minimal amounts of vegetables, and had zero flavor. I had to add Tony’s to mine just to make it palatable! The Wonton Soup is a disaster. No flavor, just a mashup of diced onions and a lackluster broth. The wontons were like biting into tennis balls. Awful. Not worth the money. In days gone by, it was great. Not any more. Stick to other spots on the northshore.

We arrived a little after 7:00 and they close at 8:00, and it was obvious the server was not pleased. (Two other tables were full) He took our drink and food orders with no smile or any emotion, so we were not very comfortable at all. However, we were extremely tired, hungry and needed to drive back across the lake so decided to stay (also, we did hear good things about the food). We ordered the green curry and drunken noodles – both extremely tasty! When the meal was first delivered, we asked for the bill, for we respect closing times. We were out at 7:50. The food was great, but due to the service, and the many other restaurants options throughout the city, sadly we will not be returning.

Thai Pepper is a hidden gem on the Northshore. There are a few Thai restaurants on the Northshore and as a Thai food fanatic, I have eaten at all except one and Thai Pepper’s food is unbeatable. My family eats Thai every where we travel and still say that Thai Pepper is the best. Their food is very fresh, very tasty and can be made to whatever spice level you desire. We love spicy food and they cook to perfection. Their Buffet during lunch time is one of the best ways to try their food. We’ve had Thai Fried Rice, Pineapple Fried rice, Thai Basil fried rice, Pad Thai, Ginger stir fry, Thai Basil stir fry with Shrimp, Thai basil with chicken, Thai Basil Catfish, Kaeng Wood sen (clear soup-best thing to have when sick or on a soup diet) , Drunken Noodles, Prik King, Fresh rolls.
I gave a 4 star for the atmosphere only because it needs some updating but the service is great.

Was a bit disappointed in the size of the portions. The food was seasoned exactly as I asked and very flavorful.
Waitress was a bit slow to get to the table, we waited for almost 10 min to see her. And then she said, I’ll be right back. 5 min later, she asks if we’re ready to order dinner….

Sub par thai food. If you’re going to charge a premium at least cook the food to back it up. Don’t mind paying when it’s yummy. Good luck and try again. High and dry. Weak pad Thai, I’ve seen better out of a hamburger helper pack.
