Wow. This place blew my mind and dominated my taste buds. I was passing through the area and had a craving for some sort of peanut chicken dish, and this was the only thing that popped up, so I went for it, and was very impressed.

I placed a to-go order for the peanut noodles with chicken, and a side of chicken dumplings. The flavors, texture and quality was out of this world.

The dumplings were very good, but next time, I would see if I could possibly get the sauce they were served in on the side. Might be better in a dine in experience, but the amount of sauce in the to-go box kind of overwhelmed the dumplings as a whole, and kept everything piping hot.

Speaking of heat… one issue I often have with restaurants, is that the food doesn’t come out hot enough. That is not the case here. Both the dumplings and the noodles were insanely hot! I had to wait about 15 minutes before I could even take a bite. The freshness and heat was incredible.

As for the peanut noodles… my gosh. The depth of flavor in the peanut sauce was divine. The sweetness of the coconut milk, blended with the chili peppers, and savory peanuts was unreal. And the noodles… so thick, and they sop up all the flavor of the sauce so well.

The portion size was massive, which made me feel better about the price tag. The price wasn’t high for the level of quality by any means. But knowing that I’m going to be getting three or four meals of it makes it even better.

While I can’t speak on the experience of dining in here, I was fascinated by the single table aspect. If I lived in the area, I would definitely reserve a table and get the dine in experience with friends or family. Since there is only one table, don’t expect to walk in and be seated by a host. Definitely call ahead.

The last thing I want to say is, when I arrived to up to pick up my order, I had to wait about five minutes, and in that time, I had the pleasure of overhearing the kitchen staff talking about ingredients and their cooking process. I could tell they were very passionate about what they make and serve there. It was obvious they care from the quality of the food by itself… but hearing them talk about this in a candid way really solidified it, and was quite charming.

I wish I lived close enough to come back again, because my experience was so wonderful that I want to explore the rest of the menu to discover what other heavenly dishes the chefs have come up with.

Thai Nation Bistro is without a doubt, the best Thai food I have had to date. It’s going to be hard to find a place that can top this level of quality, quantity and flavor at any price level.

I used to absolutely love this place. Although I wouldn’t come too often the peanut noodles were the absolute best every time!

This evening I ordered my fav. peanut noodles spice level 2. There was no answer when I called, which is typical. The message was different than it used to be, a new voice. I did not leave a message as I planned to wait a few and call back , which I had to do often before. To my surprise, they called me back! How lovely. Customer service was great and the young man was very polite and friendly.

I just started eating. These do not look the same nor do they taste the same. They aren’t bad, but they are not what I was looking forward to. The old noodles were creamier and more liquid in the bowl. They looked dry when I opened the container. Noodles are at the verge of overcooked, and the spice, feels at least a 3. It is lingering still on my tongue. Disappointed.

Without question the best Thai food I’ve had in Michigan. It’s an unassuming spot, I’m not sure if they do reservations for special parties/table service, but the food here is exceptional and authentic. The spice level is varied and understood where other places kind of shrug and hope, and the difference in the dishes/flavors is wonderful. I can only suggest you try it (at least twice).

Honestly, the food is FANTASTIC! Not too thrilled about the ordering experience though. Having an actual sign inside with the menu options with help in the future. Other than that, my food tasted wonderful. I had the peanut noodles and crab cheese rangoons. The flavor profile checked every box. And you get a lot of bang for your buck.

The ingredients are better quality than before, but in my opinion, it’s not worth the price.
I showed when they said, but I sat for almost 20 minutes past when they said it would be ready.
Small portions for the high cost. And the egg rolls are almost pure cabbage.
Dining room is dark and dingy.
Won’t be returning there.

Super knowledgeable owners. Service was above and beyond. One of the owners is a waiter also and knows a lot of stuff about Thailand. He gave us an appetizer called Dragon Skin. It was fried chicken trimmings with a light, sweet sauce and was delicious.

We ordered spice level 4 but at that level of spice, even if you can handle it, it overpowers the taste of the food. Next time I would get and recommend spice level 3, regardless of how much spice you think you can handle.

We ordered various stir fry dishes, larb, and the cabbage wraps. If you order entrees, I believe you get a simple vegetable soup which is amazing. 10/10

I called the place after a few bites of my meal to ask and verify if they put cilantro on the chicken pad thai specifically.
I was told it comes on most dishes. It is not mentioned on the menu and I would of asked for no cilantro on all the meals. I ordered 2 chicken pad thai and sweet n sour chicken.
I removed as much cilantro as I could from our dishes but it is just SOO STRONG.

Buyer beware cilantro. I asked them to update their menu as most people I know hate cilantro or it taste like soap.

Also I checked my third meal, my husband’s, before I went home to give it to him. (30 minutes after pickup and it was still steaming hot.) I was given cashew stir fry rather than sweet and sour stir fry. My receipt does verify what I called and ordered. They agreed to finally remake it as I couldn’t just get a refund. I guess sweet and sour is supposed to have cashews. Also it has mushrooms and both of these ingredients are not listed on their menu, but they claimed it was. Just buyer beware verify the ingredients in new dishes or trying this place for the first time.

I haven’t had thai nation in about a year. I tried it a month or so after the ownership changed to see if it was still good. Since then they have been fine tuning the recipes.

Best Thai Food ever!!!! I would recommend the crab rangoon, thai tea (red), stir fried orange sauce chicken, cashew nut stir fried chicken, stir fried garlic sauce chicken (so tender and yummy) and the pineapple fried rice. Everything is so good really. When my favorite Chinese food place closed I could not find anywhere that came close. But this place is amazing and the people who run it are so incredibly nice! It’s a family run business and it takes them time to make your food because they make it fresh. But it’s worth the wait! The food tastes incredible! It’s my new favorite place to eat!

The food was good ,service was great but,
It’s a different version of Thai food.
The flavors were bland for me.I love Thai food but this wasn’t the same as authentic.
For people that can’t have the real thing due to digestion issues this place would be great.
I am just shooting straight, I would eat there again but not if I am craving some real Thai food.
If you like it mild hot order 3 or 4.

Karen A good one
Today my husband and I decided to try out Thai Nation Bistro for our Anniversary dinner. We sat in a cozy little area in the back and were greeted by a very informative and personable young man who introduced himself as Josh and took our drink orders.
We let him know we have never been to the Bistro before and he took the time to tell us about their food, the spice/ heat levels from 0 to 5 and how each are different. We ended up ordering a few different things, to take home to the kids of course and everything was delicious!
We decided for our first time to try everything at a level 2. We like spicy foods and could have handled a 3 or 4 but we enjoyed what we had. I’d say a level 2 is a medium heat level.
The Thai tea is amazing, a definite must try. Really pairs well with the meals.

I have never been more blown away by the quality and pride of a Restaurant before.
Everything is made fresh to order. If you don’t want something in your dish, no problem and the amount you get is perfect!
Oh and I need to mention, their to go containers are made in the USA, dishwasher safe and microwave safe. I love that I can re-use these and then Recycle them when done.
I would have given them a 10 star review if possible.

Thank you to Thai Nation Bistro for making our experience and meal amazing.
We will be back.
