Located inside the Clarion hotel. If you enter the marked door, just follow the signs. If you use the main door, follow the signs.
Mack was a pleasure. Fun, friendly, laid-back, while still being prompt & professional.
The setting is typical hotel decor, not the more specific things one might expect.
Ordered the Pad Thai Curry with shrimp. It was very good & the lunch special was just $12.50, regardless of protein choice.
They did a fairly brisk take-out business while I was there. Only one other table was occupied. In fact, the back half of the seating area had the lights off.

Food – i ordered red curry med+ with beef and a lemonade to drink. My husband ordered yellow curry med+ with beef. Food was not very spicy. Some of the green peppers in my dish had bad spots, very off-putting. Their rice portion was small.
Service – the young man did an adequate job , but didn’t offer any drink refill on my lemonade.
Atmosphere- nothing special. Adequate.

Now let me tell you, I was about to turn around & walk out because NOBODY is in there. I literally thought they were closed… But the previous reviews, were ALL EXCELLENT, not one bad review!!! So I stayed, ordered & ate and when I tell you it was DELICIOUS‼️OMGGG, thank uuuuu food Gods for always guiding me in the right direction. Lawddddd, I wanna order take out for dinner , it was so good ‼️ So #ThaiMetroBistro in #Detroit well done. Everything was fresh, flavorful & the perfect temperature. I had #PanangChicken *curry* medium spicy plus and #CrabCheeseWontons . I called to see if they were open for lunch, she said yes & I arrived 15mins after lunch ended and she didn’t honor nor extended the lunch price. Which was different especially being that NO ONE ELSE was in there or even looked like had been in there all day. Nonetheless, the food was well worth the visit. Give them a visit or order takeout.

Wow! Genuinely impressed with every aspect of our meal. We split 2 soups and 3 apps. Flavours were spot on. Nice variety of dishes. Very good value for the money. Awesome server who put the meal over the top. Minor complaint, I love a crisp beer whilst I’m enjoying Asian food, unfortunately that was not an option. We will definitely be back for more darn good food and great conversation. Well done!

Restaurant is located inside the Clarion Hotel and finding parking close to entrance may be difficult because long term airport parking is on same site. Ordered Tom Yum soup, Fried Tofu and Spicy (Medium Plus) noodles that were on point and will order again.
Top marks to both the hotel night staff and Maclean (our waiter) who helped me search for my lost phone in the parking lot on one of the coldest winter nights. What nice courtesy and compassion shown to a traveler!

We ordered takeout from this restaurant tonight, completely unexpectedly. Our flight to Columbus was canceled due to the winter storm so we got a hotel room in Detroit and ordered from Thai Metro Bistro (via Grub Hub). It arrived fresh and hot. It was delicious! My kids devoured it. Thanks for making a wonderful end to our otherwise not so good day!

Where have you been all my life Thai Metro Bistro!? Portion size is fair for the price. Food is delicious with all the the Thai spice undertones. Beautiful atmosphere and service. Your food quality will speak for itself. Real Thai food, authentic Thai should not be just hot They got it wrong if it’s just hot. It should be fresh and flavorful first and foremost. I’m three minutes away from you versus twenty minutes away from my other Thai restaurant. You’re the only one in this vicinity. You’ll be seeing a lot more of me I’m a Thai food aficionado and have been to every Thai restaurant in the area, and yours is some of the best! That guy who left the review, who traveled the world, he’s right! Your mama taught you how to cook. So happy I discovered you shortly after you opened.

I made Blizzful order here. Upon arrival for pick-up, I had to try hard to get the attention of the lone male staff member who sat there preoccupied with his phone. Once I did, he finally went back to the kitchen area to retrieve my order and listed the items on the order. When I brought up that there was an order inaccuracy, he literally laughed in my face. In his defense, I did ask him where my crab rangoons were, when in fact, they sell crab and cheese wantons. I told him there must be a glitch in the ordering app. He again laughed at me and told me that he thought it’s a personal thing and that I must have fat fingers. During the ordering process on the Blizz app, when you click a menu item, it brings a pop-up that gives you the full description and allows you to select the quantity you want. So, no, it was not fat fingers or a personal thing. That man, in no way belongs in the service industry. The food quality also fell quite short from any Thai food I’ve had in the past.

The pineapple curry was sooo good. It was hard to choose an option. Great service, awesome Thai food. I think I got medium and it made me sweat. Walk to this place from your hotel or drive over it’s worth it I promise.

Take the Thai tea next door and see J at “The Bar at the Clarion” and spice it up 😉 will absolutely come back when flying out of Detroit airport.
