3.5 stars because it used to taste better. The pad see ew was too sweet, and the tom yum noodle soup did not have enough tom yum flavour. The other dishes were fine (Recommend the prawn sashimi)

Was craving thai food whilst visiting Manchester so decided to give Thai Kitchen No.6 a chance after reading the positive comments.
The restaurant is located in the city centre in a quiet street. Venue is quite big so it can feel a bit empty if there are not many customers.

We ordered pad kra pao, thai milk tea, chicken skewer, and khao soi. Khao soi was something I wasn’t expecting as I barely see Thai restaurants making this dish in London!

The thai milk tea was underwhelming. Too watery and milky and it turns out it was made of powered ready-to-drink sachet rather than brewed from scratch like they do in Thailand. I asked the staff if they could make it ‘stronger’ but staff just said it was made that way…
The chicken skewer was flavourless, certainly frozen and not made by the restaurant. It’s a bit of a shame for how much you pay.
The pad kra pao was requested to be spicy to which the staff accommodated to. Very flavourful, you can taste the fish sauce and soy sauce well combined with a pinch of sugar. Portion size was good.
Khao soi was good enough but not amazing. you could feel the chicken was dry and did not bath in the soup as they usually do. Flavour was there tho, the curry soup was great. however…. What happened with the noodles? the bottom was made of rice noodles whilst the top was made of thin egg noodles. I thought it would be egg noodles for both… it completely messed up the dish. I felt like we were fooled

Left pretty disappointed to get an average meal for £40 for 2 people!! Might just try another Thai place next time.

I wouldn’t class this place as fully Thai authentic really. However the crab special was really nice. Now the Lard Na was more like a Chinese dish. It was gloopy and tasteless too.
The place is nice inside, the service is good.

Went here before a gig, was a lovely meal! The place is tucked away from the main street, and thankfully takes walk ins, so we wandered in and got seated straight away.

Service was quick and friendly, and the food! Great sharing plate for starters, and then both shared red/green curries for mains with sticky rice. Cannot fault any aspect of the experience.

Nice placed tucked away in a quiet street, food was good and presented nicely, the interior design was good.
But me and my partner did have stomachaches the next day, considering this was the last place we ate the day before it’s highly possible related.

Great staff but really bad food. I had high hopes for this place but the food was really bad. I visited at Saturday lunch and it was very busy which was a good sign but I was soon disappointed. The prices are really high for what you get.

Fried tofu starter was bland and became cold quickly. It was like chewing on cold oil. Pad Thai was awful, not like any pad Thai I have ever had. Papaya salad was ok. Pork Rice was poor.

Don’t like leaving bad reviews but if I can save anyone else wasting time and money I should.

I will never return.

Best Thai food I have ever had in Manchester. Came with a big group of 8 people and the food came very quick, everyone’s food was delicious and the portions were great sizes. The staff was super lovely and accommodated us with a big table. Very clean and neat place and overall great vibe!

This place was a shocker. Never did I think I’d find such an epic red duck curry in this town. Or a take-no-prisoners crunchy papaya salad that zings and sings in your mouth. We were pleasantly surprised by this place and ate so much. Great value and friendly service take this place over the top. Absolute banger of a Thai restaurant.
