This underground gem a treasure chest of.many boutiques exquisitely placed and arranged very eclectic expressive and community comitmint and connection. I’d definitely recommend the family.go here … two major thumbs up… with much love. Went back in again and had most breathtaking time meeting the bakery and hairstylist upstairs from this establishment. With walk kins welcome

The pad thai was too sweet and the noodles were overcooked. They glumped together. I had drunken noodles which you could tell were heated up in the microwave and very few vegetables and not a pleasing dish. Service was good, atmosphere was nice but the food was a big disappointment. Will not return.

Amazing food and cool location. Wasn’t expecting much from this location except decent Thai. To get there it’s a journey to an awesome underground space just follow your nose. This place is soo underrated I had the pad Thai and Chicken. Quick service, friendly people, and amazing food.

Always a good experience but recently tried something new and that experience eclipsed the flavors of everything else. The best dish ever is the Three Flavors Chicken!!!! Is perfect – description does not give it justice. So glad we finally tried it. Flavor has perfect balance, chicken is crispy and tender, and topping was great addition. Hope it will always be available!

The food and service were both wonderful! We had a great time. The staff had good food recommendations and were very kind. Prices are reasonable and serving sizes are very generous. We are from out of town but if we return we would absolutely eat here again!

Our local favorite! The food is always amazing, comes out fast, and the service is adequate and friendly. We would recommend the Penang curry with chicken and the teriyaki chicken fried rice. We are always satisfied, the only downside is that they aren’t open every day.

WHEN AN UNEXPECTED FIND TURNS INTO A PLEASANT SURPRISE.

This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion.

I went to the Thai Fresh Gardens restaurant on a Thursday Night, 12/2/21, and it was my very first time.

PLACE: That night I was very tired and sleepy but yet I forced myself to go out and find a nice place to eat. I eventually decided to join my friends and go explore La Grande on a very cold night. We parked our car and started walking and while strolling around we spotted the unusual golden elephant statues standing in front of a building entrance. We decided to get in and follow the signs to this Thai Fresh Gardens we had just seen on the entrance glass door. We went down the stairs and all of a sudden it was like we had just stepped into a different world… a world of its own…
a sort of underground world, welcomed by a fountain and a narrow path going all around a elf-like village. on the sides of the path many display windows, many doors and many pretty decoration.
I felt like I was walking around a Christmas village…. such a pleasant feeling.
At some point, along the path, you can see a big open room with a long table and fabric Art frames…. then medieval style windows and then a Caribbean tree with colorful parrots and pretty birds.
We had just found the Thai Fresh Gardens restaurant…..what a pleasant surprise.

FOOD: We ordered Thai Fresh Gardens Fresh rice, Yellow Curry, Crispy Chicken Pad Thai, Thai Vegetable Egg Roll, Broccoli and Meat and Tom Yam Soup.
All of our meals were tasty and well prepared. I loved the fresh ingredients and the combination of sweet and bitter.
I tried each and every of our orders and my favorite was the Thai fresh gardens fried rice, and in second place the Thai Vegetable Egg Roll with Tofu. I did really enjoy them.
Just remember, this is no fast food restaurant, so you have to wait for them too prepare and cook your food, regardless of what you order.

CLEANLINESS: The overall cleanliness was very good and they would come and clean the table as soon as the customers left.

STAFF: The young girl who served us was nice and helpful, friendly I would say. She took photos of us, She explained the Menu for us and did her best to meet our needs. Very customer oriented person. Less friendly and customer oriented was her mother, who, in all truth, could not understand English very well.

PRICES: not as cheap as you would expect from a restaurant in La Grande OR, but it’s the only Ethnic food restaurant in town, also portions are big and flavors are there, so, it is worth the money.

CONCLUSIONS: I genuinely enjoyed it and I would definitely go back again. very positive customer experience and a very good vibe.

Passing through town. Very pleasantly surprised. Glad we stopped. Wasn’t sure based on store front but you have to go downstairs to the lower level shops. Food was very good, served promptly and hot. Just the right spice at a medium (2) for me. I like spice. I had the mixed vegetables with chicken. Very yummy. Husband had the 3 flavor crispy chicken with broccoli – excellent. Prices reasonable. Service wasn’t very attentive but good enough. Would definitely go back!

A rather disappointing visit to this restaurant. We arrived at 8pm with a closing time of 9pm. We were told they would sorely be closing. An hour beforehand. We felt very rushed. The starters arrived very shortly followed by the main courses. No time to enjoy the starters. At 8.30pm, whilst eating, we were given our bill and asked to pay as they were going to be closing. It was still only 8.30pm. They proceeded to close down the restaurant, turn off the music and even turn off the lights. Staff were in their coats before we were leaving. We were out of the restaurant by 8.50pm. All in all not a great experience sadly.
